Ali Bernabia has been voted the mcfconline player of the season. Second place went to Shaun-Wright Phillips with Kevin Horlock taking third.

In a season when any number of players could have won, Ali Bernabia ran away with the vote in the mcfconline player of the season vote. 59% of people who voted went for Ali as their first choice. The next closest was Shaun Wright-Phillips in second with 17% of the vote. Kevin Horlock was third with 10%.

The other votes gave The Goat 7%, Eyal Berkovic 5% and Richard Dunne 2%, clearly demonstrating that as far as the supporters are concerned, one man was a major influence on promotion.

Bernabia arrived in time for the 3-0 home victory against Birmingham and has not looked back since. He went on to dominate the midfield in his debut and nearly every game since. I'm sure everyone will join me in raising a glass to the mcfconline player of the season, Ali Bernabia.
