Kerkar signs 3 month deal

Kevin Keegan has handed Algerian trialist, Karim Kerkar, a 3 month contract at Maine Road. Kerkar, who impressed in his recent trial period with the club, has been given a further oppurtunity to claim a permanent deal with the club in a deal similar to the one given to Simon Colisimo last season.

Algerian trialist, Karim Kerkar, has signed a 3 month contract with a view to a more permanent deal if he impresses further during that period.

Kerkar, who scored two goals in the 7-1 pre season win at Tranmere, has been brought in as cover for Ali Bernabia and Eyal Berkovic in the centre of midfield.

Kerkar may find his chances limited however as Kevin Keegan has said that he cannot envisage a situation where Kerkar will figure in the team alongside his two established creative midfielders.

Kerkar arrives on a free transfer from French club Le Havre.
