Penney: Room for Improvement

Despite beating 3rd placed Tranmere 4-2, Dave Penney has insisted that Doncaster can still improve as a team.

Michael McIndoe, Gregg Blundell, Ricky Ravenhill and Neil Roberts scored the goals for Doncaster and were helped in their efforts by Dadi getting sent off Tranmere.

 

Put Penney still doubts Doncaster’s abilities to make the playoffs.

 

Penney said:

 

"It's a great result for us. I thought we were an excellent unit. We started brightly and looked sharper and fitter. But we need to be more professional. Some aspects of our play bothered me."

"It was a bruising game and the sending off seemed justified. Their player (Eugene Dadi) definitely swung his arm. The referee saw it and decided it was to be a red card.”

"Whether we can still make the play-offs remains to be see, but I doubt it."
