Doncaster chairman John Ryan has told of how the club failed to sign Craig Fagan from Colchester, despite making 3 bids.
Rovers failed to meet the asking price for the 23-year-old forward who is now linked with
Ryan said:
"We valued the player at £100,000 but our final offer was more than that including bits and pieces. There is no point bidding again because we would only lose out.
"The player concerned wants to play at a higher level.
"We are having a real good look around at the moment for players in all positions for next season.
"But I would still like to sign a couple of strikers now while we still have half a chance of making the promotion play-offs."
