Walsall 1 - 1 Doncaster

Doncaster were lucky to escape with a point after Walsall dominated them on New Years Day.

Rovers went ahead early on after Bennett tried to clear a cross from Neil Roberts but ended up heading into his own net.

Walsall equalised before the break when a Michael Standing 20-yard-screamer flew into the roof of the net.

Walsall dominated the second half, and were unlucky not to win it at the death when Matty Fryatt smashed the ball agonisingly across the face of goal.

Rovers did manage to hang on for 5 minutes of injury time after keeper, Andy Warrington, was stretchered off after a collision with own-goal scorer, Julian Bennett, who also had to be replaced.

Final Score: 1-1
