A blue hoping to beat the Reds

TNS manager Kenny McKenna is a boyhood blue and would love to beat Liverpool . The former Tranmere striker said with typical Scouse humour “: "I'd have preferred to get someone a little bit easier so we could still be in when the big clubs like Everton come in, in the third round!" He went on:

McKenna said: "You couldn't write a story like this, a village team from Wales playing the European champions.

"All our injured players could suddenly walk and sprinted out of the physio room as soon as the draw was made! We're all over the moon.

"We've been running along the Mersey and looking over to Liverpool thinking it would be great to get them, so there's a bit of irony about it all. It's definitely got a nice feel to it."
