Liverpool bid for Luque rejected

Liverpool are believed to have made a bid for Deportivo la Coruna forward Albert Luque. Depor President, Augusto Cesar Lendoiro, has refused the offer though, on the grounds that it was insufficient. They await a further offer from Liverpool The player himself is believes a move to Liverpool would suit him.

He said:

"I want a quick decision so I can go on my holiday and know where I am playing next season."
"English football is excellent and I have no doubt that I could play in the Premiership.
"My characteristics will suit English football and the supporters will be happy with my style and the goals I would score."

Liverpool look to have pulled out of the Crouch deal after Harry Redknapp slapped a 7 million price tag on him.
