Early Goal The Key to win for Reds

Alvaro Arbeloa hopes he and his team mates can use the first half display of the 5-0 drubbing of Villa to improve their home form for the rest of the season. An early goal opened up the game and Arbeloa believes if they’d have been able to do that at other times at home they’d be in a better position now. Arbeloa says: "We had a really good start to the game," Arbeloa told Liverpoolfc.tv. "I think that kind of first-half display is the key to improving our home form.
 
"If we can start really well at Anfield it can be important because an early goal can open up a tight match. You saw what it was like against Real Madrid in the Champions League and they could not cope with us, so I think we have to do the same in all of our home matches."

Has been the case all season ,without Torres who has been missing most of this campaign we lack the killer touch . Hes still not 100%fit but he draws defenders to him and creates so much space for others.

There is a really decent Liverpool side taking shape and I dont think Aurelio and Arbeloa get the credit they deserve. A bit of proven class up front to share the burden with Torres is an absolute must for next season.

I agree CC but who with the kind of qulity we need would be prepared to sit on the bench for most of the time?

Well I would like an experienced, proven goalscorer in his late 20s who would be prepared to play second fiddle to (a fit) Torres and be happy getting a regular 20/30 minutes and a start in the "lesser" games. Not asking too much am I?

Dare I say it? Owen? Experienced, goal getter and totally at home.

Don't think he'd be willing to play a minor role but in reality it would be the best thing for him with his injury record.
