Xabi warns against Reds hangover.

Popular Reds midfielder, Xabi Alonso, says that the Reds can't afford to have any holiday hangovers as they go in to a match with Bolton Wanderers at Anfield this afternoon. A run of draws has made the Anfield faithful very nervous but Alonso hopes to see a great improvement at home for the rest of the season.

He said:

"At home, we have conceded a few goals and made a few mistakes that are not very common in the team. If we control that and if we have the accuracy to score an early goal in any game, that will be one of the keys to win games at home." 
  
"We know that everyone around the club really wants to be successful in the domestic competitions, and you can feel that.
 
"The crowd is willing us to be challenging for the title and the players are as well. But we are still at the half-way point of the season and we have to be calm."

Early goal is key ,would be nice to have a nice comfortable 2 goal lead so we can enjoy the game. Crowd as ever has a huge role to play ,anxiety spreads the longer it stays goaless. Patience is called for and positive vibes .

Patience is the key, we know keane is quality & works very hard & the two goals 2day can only mean more confidence for him.

Im hoping he will start gainst Newcy, & i'm sure he will get some good chances ta get more goals.

Could turn out to be a massive win against Bolton not just in terms of the points but also psychologically. With United and Chelsea having played and won earlier there was pressure on the side to prove to others and more importantly themselves that they deserve to be where they are and are capable of handling the added pressure. Good to see Keane finally step up and start scoring and even Riera has chipped in with a couple which is an unexpected bonus. Well done lads and long may it continue.
