Tranmere have today confirmed that eight of their home League games next season will be played on a Friday Night instead of on a Saturday, partly at the request of Merseyside Police but also because such games are popular amongst fans.

Tranmere have today confirmed that as expected, a number of home League matches for next season have been moved from a Saturday to a Friday night.
The home games against Bristol City, Port Vale, Millwall, Blackpool, Crewe, Bradford, Chesterfield and Carlisle Utd will all now take place on Friday evenings instead of on the Saturday as originally intended.
Friday Night Football has always been popular at Prenton Park amongst the Rovers faithful and many will be glad to hear that it will happen eight times this season.
The dates of the Friday night games are:
8th September
13th September
3rd November
24th November
15th December
19th January
2nd March
30th March
Other fixture changes for Rovers include the away game at Swansea which had been scheduled for Saturday 7th October but has now been moved to Friday 6th October due to a clash with a Wales International game.
Also Rovers home fixture against Leyton Orient on Saturday 2nd September is subject to change due to a potential clash with an England International game.
