Rovers draw Carlisle in LDV Vans 3rd Round

After defeating Lincoln City and Rochdale in the LDV Vans Trophy so far, Rovers have yet again drawn a League Two side at home in the shape of Carlisle United. Carlisle, captained by ex-Rovers defender Kevin Gray are in decent form in League Two and will provide decent opposition for Brian Little’s men.

The live TV draw for the LDV Vans Trophy 3rd round this morning, saw Rovers draw Carlisle United in the Northern Section third round of the competition. The draw will see Rovers come up against former captain Kevin Gray, who now captain’s United.
The tie will be played in the week commencing 19th November with ticket details to be announced by the Club and subsequently here on Total Tranmere at a later date.
Rovers were of course knocked out of the LDV Vans in the area semi-final at Oldham on penalties last season with Wrexham going on to win the Trophy against Southend United at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
