Hume's first game will be on 7^th July and, depending on how Canada progress, Hume might not be back to late July, with the competitions tournament being on the 24^th July.

Hume definitely misses pre season games with Vauxhall Motors, Cammell Lairds and Connahs Quay Nomads. But the list could get even bigger if Canada do venture all the way to the final, with Hume also missing Manchester City, Marine, Morecombe, and Shrewsbury, do they reach that far.

This only leaves two pre season games, and if Canada do play all the games possible, perhaps the Crewe Alexandra friendly will come to soon for him, with it being on the 26^th July.

Again, its another club-country row, but if Hume has the chance to further his international experience, then he must do so, as it will become invaluable experience for a player who already has 11 full caps under his belt at the tender age of 21.

Hume will be wearing his Rovers number 7 for the Canadian squad, and hopes to gain a lot through the tournament. But, Canada face stiff competition in their opening group stage, with Cuba, Costa Rica and hosts USA.

The competition itself is a bit tricky in how it is set out. So below we have created a table of the Gold Cup:

Although, I do wish Iain the best of luck in the Gold Cup, I hope he is back for me than just the one friendly, to get him playing back with the Rovers squad again.
