After a three month long FA investigation, enquiring about an alleged racist comment(s) against a Tranmere Rovers player, the FA have decided it best to, for all involved, be dropped.

The alleged incident accured on the 12^th April 2005, while Tranmere where playing away to Brentford. Referee, Grant Hegley, reported in his match report of comments that he heard directed towards a Rovers player. The official believed these comments to be “theatening and aggressive behaviour.”

Since then an official FA investigation was lodged. Many Brentford fans, who attended the game, as well as members of the community, to see if anyone had heard or seen any signs of racism in the ground. But after three months of drawing no lines under the accusations, FA have drawn a close to any investigation about the incident.

Brentford are believed to be very happy about the decision and, understandable, want to draw a close to the accusations that took place.

The FA did say that Brentfords stewarding facilites are more than satisfactory and applauded the Bees on their anti-racism policy.
