Reminding people of the objectives in keeping this site going and free from toxicity. People can't be kept happy, but this site can be kept going. Whilst the two intentions are not diametrically opposed, they aren't complimentary either. In truth a balance has to be struck between allowing free expression or letting threads spiral out of control. Moderation is far from easy. Some actions have been taken recently to close threads, usually to head off poor behaviour as it develops. On occasion we have also deleted whole threads or individual contributions. This isn't because we disagree with a particular point but more so that we can maintain a focus on cordiality rather than rancour. 

Not everyone will agree with individual decisions. However, the intention remains to keep this site functioning with very limited resources. Predominantly this is a site for discussion about Tranmere Rovers. Those discussions need to be conducted as convivially as possible. It's worth stressing that, for the major part, they are. It's down to each person here to respect each other and behave appropriately. Maybe a simple test: would you say what you're posting directly to someone, particularly given that nuance is much less subtle when it comes to the written word? 

We have also said, previously, we moderate without explanation. Other sites seem to have long, drawn out processss and degrees of sanction that seem unfathomable.  Some people may be more comfortable with this. We will, however, remain as a forum where discussion about Tranmere can take place and where steps will be taken quickly to bring people in line.
