The clocks go back on Sunday, this the end of our good form?

British Summertime Comes to an end on Halloween. Rovers seeem to have awakened some ghost from their past after last Saturday's performance. Could this be the start of a long winter?

Every team has a 'bad day at the office', but the 2nd half performance against Northampton was really poor. I laughed when the sponsors announced their man of the match as Cogley, it wasn't a bad choice but nobody seemed to come out for the 2nd half. Perhaps Micky had told them that because of COVID a they could all work from home, because they were pretty much absent from Prenton Park after 4pm.

My worry now is that this is the start of a run of poor form. We are missing Hawkes, the only player who seems to have more than one pace. Other players were well out of sorts. After his head injury Clarke was understandably subdued, but the rest of the defence were anonymous. Midfield was the same. Feeney is an impact sub, at his age he shouldn't really be in the starting XI. He lacks pace and becomes too predictable as the game goes on. On the other wing MacMananman wasn't getting into over-lapping positions with Cogley, we seemed to cut inside too often.

I also feel sorry for Nevitt. He struggles on his own up front, after Morris was subbed there was no goal scoring midfield option. Someone near me shouted for Micky to go 4-4-2, but Maynard? He looks to me like a player who is lacking confidence and not particularly inclined to put in a decent shift. There have been calls for Walker to start up front but it's like asking for Boris Johnson to sort his hair out, just not going to happen. We will struggle on whilst Nevs gets less and less confident, and Walker may return to Boro without having made a single League appearance. You wonder why we waste money on signing players like him and Glatzel, they must be totally frustrated.

This coming Saturday we have Mansfield away, and then Crawley away in the FA Cup. The latter is good for revenue, but only if we get to the third round. I suspect we are facing two consecutive defeats. Just as success breeds success, failure might breed failure. It might be a long, cold winter. Maybe it's not just summertime that will finish on Sunday?

Hopefully the turning back of the clocks results in the rubbish put out by total tranmere stopping. Every post is utter tripe. Dont seem to post after a win either? How strange

Just nonsense, pretending to be some form of journalism. Why do you expect two defeats with no explanation, the winger cuts inside to cause the overlap!!- Baldy level stuff

Apart from the Mansfield error it was a fair analysis of our current form. As I have pointed out elsewhere a goal difference of +3 after 14 games is not promotion form.

+9 after 46 games got promotion last season. It’s points that count.

As for the OP, just more clickbait.

Current form? Get a grip, we lost 1 game after getting 4 points from 2 away games and with a sprinkle more luck it would have been 6. But lets get hysterical over ONE game

Nah, the articles right about that. There is a horrible Americanism ‘Spring forward, Fall back’. Horrid but useful.

Anyone know what happened to the baldies?! Did they get banned or just give up? This place is certainly a lot quieter

I think the confusion may be because you get an extra hour's sleep in autumn.

They got what they deserved. Banished to the hinterland to fend for themselves with the wolves.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
