McNulty Sweeps to January Player Award

The votes have been counted and we confirm that the Total Tranmere Award for Tranmere Player of the Month has gone to defender Steve McNulty......
As our Goal of the Month Award finally saw a new winner in January following the recent dominance of James Norwood in the polls, so Norwood's dominance in the Player of the Month category has also come to an end in the same month as defender Steve McNulty deservedly took the award thanks to your votes.
Unlike the Goal of the Month result, the Player award was a close one as McNulty saw off the challenge of Adam Mekki by just 4% of the vote to deservedly take the honours.
McNulty's central defensive partner Michael Ihiekwe came in third place in the poll with 19% of the vote whilst Steven Jennings, Lois Maynard and James Norwood also polled votes with the rest scoreless this time around.
Thanks to everyone who voted in our two monthly polls. Our Man of the Match poll for yesterday's home win over Southport is currently available with the results to be published in the next few days.

That's because they've been going wrong for many years, by signing too many illiterate, uneducated defenders that grunt and spit.
No I get what you mean and in truth he's a key part of the reason Tranmere are so solid. I believed he would fit in from day one, but just needed time, as he wasn't featuring for a top 10 league 2 side every week for nothing.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
