Following yesterday afternoon's impressive and fairly convincing 2-0 away win at League leaders Forest Green Rovers, we are asking you to vote for you Tranmere Man of the Match from the game as part of our post-match poll series.
Tranmere flew out of the blocks in what many Rovers fans will have seen before the game as the most difficult test of the season so far but the visitors were ahead after just five minutes when debutant Gary Taylor-Fletcher, only announced as a signing an hour before kick-off, scored with a great finish after being set up by former Forest Green player James Norwood.
The game wasn't even 25 minutes old when the Rovers in White made it 2-0 thanks to a wonderful header from Norwood who was clearly having an excellent day against the Club he left last summer! Goalkeeper Maxted in the home goal got a hand to Norwood's power header but couldn't keep it out.
Despite the home side briefly waking up at the end of the first half and forcing Davies into a tremendous save just before the break, it was back to Tranmere dominance in the second half and although Forest Green had a chance cleared off the line, it was about as close as they came and Tranmere confirtably saw out the game for a well earned and much needed win.
The result sees Rovers back into the National League play-off places in fifth place but level on points with Grimsby in fourth place and just five points off the team they have just beaten, Forest Green who still lead the way.

1) his goal- not only the finish, but the fact he laid it off to Norwood in our half, then was up there to finish it off.
2) his block off the line- shows great defensive awareness for a striker
3) his general touches, knock ons and hold up play were superb
4) the fact he always looked at threat that the defenders couldn't deal with.
5) the fact he lasted 90 mins, he's 34, hasn't played for 6 months, and still did the whole match.
That said, their are 11 players in with a sour of it this week!
