  Your chance to choose Rovers’ best performer for the opening month of the season…..  

All the way through August you have been voting for your Man of the Match for each and every Rovers game but now we are giving you the opportunity to decide who should pick up the Man of the Month Award as the best and perhaps most consistent performer throughout what was a mixed month of August in terms of Rovers’ fortunes.

Due to the use of 18 players during August, which makes the vote a little too large, we have come up with a selection process for each month to determine the players you are able to vote for.

This selection progress is simply that a player must have played one third or more of all the possible playing minutes for the month. Anyone who has played less than a third of the minutes will not be eligible for the voting process.

Players missing out on the criteria for this month are loan signing Nathan Blissett, James Norwood, Marcus Holness and more recent signing Marlon Jackson. All of the rest who featured in August are eligible for the vote.

For your information before you vote, the Man of the Match Awards as voted for by TT readers in August has seen Liam Ridehalgh win three times (shared once with Matt Hill), Jay Harris win twice and Matt Hill win once (shared with Ridehalgh) whilst the Man of the Match Awards for the Altrincham and Kidderminster games are still being voted on at the time of writing.

The list of goalscorers in August is as follows:

2 Goals - Andy Mangan

1 Goal - Jay Harris, Liam Hogan, Liam Ridehalgh, Lois Maynard, Matt Hill, Michael Ihiekwe and Ritchie Sutton
