Need a reaction and three points. Don't play Margetts or Holness. Replace them with Mangan and Ihiekwe. Drop Riley for Hill. Hill has played centre half before so can play in a back 3 on left hand side. Sutton in middle, Ihiekwe the right hand defender. Play with a high line and get Maynard to play behind Mangan and Stockton.

Is Ihiekwe good enough at right back. I think he's good in the middle but??"

Considering i wouldn't fancy us to beat Trumpton right now i am unfortunately not brimming with confidence at the moment. A poor performance and a late undeserved winner similar to our first two home games would do me just fine. I am however going to be shouting some of them old fashioned phrases you used to hear at football matches "Unlucky lad head up, keep going" or "come on lads your better than this" etc etc. feel free to join me in reestablishing this old footballing tradition.

The support is almost all I'm worried about. We're in danger of alienating our own players from the fans after less than ten games. How will that ever be beneficial? We've finally got a group who seem to be close and really care, please, "fans", don't drive them away.

4-4-2 and give the strikers a chance. Playing with backs to the goal and being expected to beat three players is unfair.

Wide midfielders and full backs linking up as a partnership, and one centre mid breaking with the other holding.

Simples!

Down to 9th in the league and forest green are now 10 points away from us at the top. Brabin needs to get this sorted ASAP, of this season will pass us by.

Where do I begin, somewhat fortunate to be 2-0 up at half time having said that, we should have been out of sight 15 minutes into the second half.

If we are going to play three at the back I don't believe we can use Riley, who hasn't got enough pace especially in one on one situation like their first goal.

I didn't see the point in the switch in defence which caused all the confusion. I thought these sort of capitulations were a thing on last season and the season before.

We even managed to miss the opportunity to win at the end.

The only bright points in a thoroughly disappointing day were Adam Mekki first half and Marlon Jackson second half, who still looks very short of match fitness.

The MOM for me was their Nr 28 (Dawson) who caused problems from start to finish and displayed the creativity, we are sadly lacking in midfield.

10 points off top of the league, below chester and wrexham, 4 points off playoffs, change of formation every game, change of players every game, 2-0 up at home against bottom of the league and draw 2-2, 1 point out of 9, enough excuses brabins got to go !!!!!! #BRINGBACKRONNIE

Poor tactical decisions in the alt and today's game have cost us. We are so thin in midfield and need someone who can offer something more than jenno an Harris or a different direction. what was the substitution all about?

MESSAGES->author

31/08/2015 18:05
Poor tactical decisions? The formation didn't change with either substitution as Ihiekwe directly replaced Jackson out wide and Jackson replaced Nathan (6 foot something and useless in the air) Blissett!

Jackson won every header he went for so looked a decent enough change but the players seemed to think it was job done so they are to blame.

Having said that how the referee can give a goal from where he was standing when the linesman didn't give it is baffling!

Kidderminster didn't deserve anything from the game in my opinion but that's the way it goes sometimes! Robbery!

We were all first half, came out 2nd half looked completely not up for it. That formation change was not needed at all, Kidderminster were an awful side, we should not of drawn that game. At 2-0 the formation should of been kept, we were winning 2-0 FFS!. That new striker Blisset looks rubbish, good first touch and then the next touch he loses the ball, every time!.

feel sorry for poor Hill with this 3-5-2, thought he was one of our best players before this recent formation change. Jackson looks fairly decent. Im a little worried he doesnt know either his best formation or favorite side. Do we not train or what?.

It looked like we swapped to a 442 sub? , had 4 across the back when Ihkewe came on?

After the last two games I thought we played much better today. I think we gave them too much respect second half, lost the intensity and let them back in. On a positive note, we did not play long ball and looked capable of creating chances when playing 3 5 2 . We should have kept playing at two up and not tried to wind it down, I think that formation is the way to go rather than 442

There is no getting away from the fact that the game changed when He changed it. I thought we were comfortable up to that point despite a few issues but as soon as we went defensive, it was only a matter of time before they started coming onto us.

I'm starting to get worried with all this tinkering because that's exactly what happened last season and we went down. Why can't he keep the same team and the same players, I don't understand it. I've no doubt he'll make changes again next game after today but what we need is consistency.

We've got Chester next home game and if we don't win that I think his job is seriously in doubt.

Still shocked at the way we threw away two points against such a poor side. Their manager deserves credit for his change in formation bringing on the extra midfielder ten minutes before half time. We sat back and allowed them back into the game.

However we should have been well out of sight[4 or 5 up] before they scored their first-looked a fluke from where I was but the ball definitely looked over the line.

Sutton teeing up their player for the equaliser was a huge clanger but these things happen.

Having been roundly and rightly condemned for the hoofball against Borehamwood,it was virtually all the opposite-ball on ground for vast majority of time.Almost too much.

Why won't some of them take responsibility and go for goal rather than passing to somebody who MAY be in a better position but also MAY NOT. That was particularly evident right at the end when it got passed about three times to the left when a shot was the obvious option.

Admittedly I've only seen home games so far but this seems like a re-run of the last couple of seasons where we give the opposition far too much space. We allow them to develop their passing game and gain confidence. When we have the ball no one creates space and looks for the ball. Lack of fitness, lack of confidence or poor tactics????

they couldn't afford me! What I don't understand is "we" have signed a team of Conference players, if as is alleged we have a big budget we should have gone out and signed league 1 standard players. Even the players we have signed aren't that great by Conference standards. I hear rumour that Holmes left as he was offered only £500 a week. Doesn't ring true with a big budget and given he's been snapped up by a league outfit.

I thought Ridehalgh should have been subbed just before their first goal as he was injured, which gave them a free run at us. But we still had a chance to clear. We switched off after that!
We let them back into it in the last ten minutes, we should have finished it earlier and put the game to bed!

Holmes would have been good to keep hold of for this league. Battler and would have been a good balance for Ridehalgh. He's been great this season and is head and shoulders above the rest.

I thought watching today was the best I've seen us play for a few seasons. The loss today was purely a managerial error and hopefully a lesson learnt.

2-0 was a pleasing scoreline until the team and Brabin conspired to implode on themselves and the first goal so soon after a sub. A substitution or change needs to take hold instantaneously to avoid unbalancing a decent performance, but there are positives from this and if the defense can keep their heads at the end of games, there will be more of the stuff that got 10 points from 4 games.

Disappointing, but not necessarily a season killer if the team can bounce back from it.

Agree, we were worth the lead at half time but it was like we'd decided then to try to play out the game rather than continue to dominate. Up to the last 10 minutes they had only two attempts on target. Never be confident you've won a match until you have. Play to score more at all times. Overall it is coming together.

THanks Gas Reality - it is interesting to compare your experience with ours. It is going to be tough but I still fancy a top-five finish this season, but it may take some time for us to string a run of results together. Let's hope we can do this to co-incide with the play-offs. In my view, the Conference is a tougher than League 2 - not in terms of skill but the ability to frustrate teams.

Good to hear your keeping the faith when it's not easy to do so.the conference is very tough for the relegated teams because 2/3 of the league are thrilled if they can get a draw against you in their home fixture and they will set themselves up to try and do just that.Due to all the F.A trophy games being sheduled for a Saturday, there were so many league fixtures crammed in before we reached February the part time teams results did drop off noticeably after that so the chance to rack up a lot of points at the back end of the season should be there again for the full time outfits.

I certainly think we look decidedly unfit and physically coming off second best in most games so far. I was chatting to George, the groundsman at Raby, a few weeks ago and he made the comment that GB had had the squad doing more technical stuff in pre-season compared with the Les Parry days when sand dunes and long Wirral Way runs were the order of the day. He also said that the place was a lot happier place to be since the departure of John McMahon.

As far as the Kidderminster game is concerned I was in the Town Paddock and in line with the defence who, after the 84th minute substitution, suddenly looked like they hadn't a clue what to do next. When their first goal went in blind panic swept over their faces. Clearly unschooled in the art of game management.

Must be why Ronnie Moore took the Hartlepool job, because he could be near some punishing coastline to punish his players on in pre-season (Sm7).

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
