Birkenhead boys set to leave Prenton Park

Tranmere local boys Danny Holmes and Max Power both now look set to leave Rovers. An emotional Holmes has already said goodbye to the SWA and thanked them for their support. After more than 150 appearances over two periods with the club 26 year old Holmes is set to move to Newport County when his contract expires on 1st July. Danny will be remembered by Rovers fans for his 110% commitment to the cause.

News is also rife that Max Power will join Wigan Athletic at the same time although no details of the fee have been announced. Although Power is out of contract he is under 24 and was offered a contract to stay at Prenton Park in the summer therefore Rovers are entitled to compensation. Midfielder Power had a statistically great season last year scoring 12 goals.

Both players were products of Tranmere's youth system and all at Total Tranmere wish them well at their new clubs.
