Tranmere Reserves lead three times but draw 3-3 away at Wrexham this afternoon.........
It was a feast of goals at Wrexham's Colliers Park training ground this afternoon as Tranmere Reserves and Wrexham Reserves fought out a 3-3 draw in a game in which Tranmere led three times but each time were pegged back by the home side.
It was an extremely youthful Rovers side that began the game with only Chris Shuker, Jake Kirby and Iain Hume backed by any real first team experience with the rest of the team apart from Liam Davies being made up of members of Rovers Under 18 youth side.
Rovers took the lead just two minutes into the Final Third Development League match when Iain Hume opened the scoring but the home side drew level just ten minutes later. Twenty minutes into the game it was the visitors who were in front again when Liam Davies, recently back from a long term injury restored the advantage.
This time, Rovers's lead was to last only twelve minutes before yet again Wrexham levelled in the 32nd minute of the game to make it 2-2. That wasn't the end of the goal scoring in the first half as Rovers scored again through Iain Hume's second of the afternoon on 38 minutes - a goal which gave Rovers a 3-2 advantage at half-time.
Ten minutes into the second half Wrexham struck again to make it 3-3 and this time it proved to be the end of the goals for the day as both teams left with a point.
Just wondering if anyone went to the reserves game today
nice to see hume get on the score sheet, how did he play?
and i wonder if this will earn him a place on the bench this saturday
