First half substitute Danny Gardner wins the Total Tranmere Man of the Match Award for last Saturday's home game against Dagenham and Redbridge......
After our first full length voting period since the results series was launched recently, it can now be confirmed that you, the fans and readers of this site, voted first half substitute Danny Gardner as your Tranmere Rovers Man of the Match for last Saturday's 3-2 home defeat against fellow strugglers Dagenham and Redbridge.
Coming on as an early substitute for injured starter Jason Koumas, on loan Chesterfield midfielder Gardner appears to be the player that impressed Rovers fans the most in what was an all round poor outing again for the Rovers team.
As you can see from the poll below, we had a record number of votes cast for one game since we started reviewing the poll results each week and Gardner polled a massive 68% of the votes cast (25 votes) with the nearest challenger being the Man of the Match winner from the last Rovers game Adam Dugdale who polled just 11% of the vote (4 votes).
Unlike our previous poll, in which all but two of the starting eleven players failed to receive any votes, this time around only four starting players and two of the substitutes polled any votes.
Stay tuned on Saturday night/Sunday morning for your chance to vote for your Tranmere Man of the Match for the vital away game against Northampton Town which takes place at 3pm on Saturday with the results of that poll to be announced prior to the away trip to Cambridge United next Tuesday night.
