Your chance to vote for your Tranmere Man of the Match from Saturday's spirited 6-2 home defeat against Premier League side Swansea City in the third round of the FA Cup.....

Following an entertaining third round FA Cup tie at Prenton Park which saw Tranmere somewhat harshly beaten 6-2 by Premier League Swansea City, we are asking you to vote for you Tranmere Man of the Match from the game as part of our post-match poll series.

After a controversial opening goal which looked to have been controlled by Nathan Dyer's hand before putting the ball into the net, Tranmere had a good spell for the remainder of the first half to go in just 1-0 behind at the break.

However two goals in the early part of the second half gave the visitors a perhaps flattering lead before Max Power charged down Swansea goalkeeper Tremmel's clearance to pull a goal back.  In a an end-to-end game, Swansea made it 4-1 before Cole Stockton added another for Rovers and as Tranmere pushed for more goals they were hit twice on the break for 6-2 to make an extremely flattering full time score.

Max Power celebrates his goal against Swansea on Saturday afternoon

Power closely followed by Danny H who, despite the early yellow card didn't let it affect him.

Danny Holmes, power tried too hard in the first half, and the Laird shout is laughable

Holmes - great performance against premier league team, and unlike the others not in his preferred position

Because he's attrocious.hes a midfielder who is scared to tackle shoot or mark. He had another dire match today

He held it together today for the second game running. I like Jennings but he had a poor game today and was carried by Laird in particular but also Power at times.

Power for me! But Laird came a close second, his work rate and closing down helped us defend better, and made them go more direct. The second goal killed us, not because of Laird, he was taken off shortly after and we did miss him.

Uh oh the spelling police are about. Luckily I'm allowed an opinion just like you, mine is he's a poor player who contributes very little.

Both, the writing was on the wall with Holness at Rhyl preseason

Mad Max followed very closely by a superb Holmes.

I agree that Laird worked his socks off and does not deserve a pasting based on that performance.

Holmes for me, only because on another day Max could of been sent off, which would of been catastrophic to lose him at the moment. Also i think Laird is possibly the worst centre mid we've EVER had, he runs around like a headless chicken and kicks the ball like Giraffe

1. Power ... Just nicks it ahead of Danny because of his goal

I should rephrase that as since I've watched them, (pretty much every home game and about 1/3 away since 1990).

He's defo escaped from Chester Zoo (been going there since about 1986) :-)

I don't think I've ever seen a player split opinion so much. Laird is the marmite player, except you either think he's decent or terrible rather than brilliant or terrible. I think he's okay, but he's in the team to put himself about rather contribute going forward so Jenno and Laird in the same side? Depends what mentality you have I suppose.

The only player I could compare him to is George o'callaghan, a centre mid so lightweight he could get blown over in the slightest of breezes.

Oh and I've been watching since the mid 90s
