Moore Signs New Deal

Rovers boss rewarded with two-and-a-half year contract
Following Tranmere Rovers' sensational opening half to the season, manager Ronnie Moore has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract at the club.
The new deal will keep Moore, who returned to the club in March 2012 following the departure of Les Parry, at Prenton Park until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
And, should the former Rotherham manager see out his contract at the club, he will become Tranmere's longest serving manager since John Aldridge, who was Rovers boss for five years between 1996 and 2001.
Along with Moore, who turns 60 on Monday, assistant manager John McMahon, goalkeeping coach Dave Timmins and physio Gregg Blundell have also signed two-and-a-half year contracts.
Since his return to Prenton Park after a near three year absence, Moore has guided Tranmere to the top of League One, a position they have held for nearly five months.
He is currently in his third spell as Rovers boss, having initially taken the reigns as a caretaker in 1987 before being appointed on a permament basis between 2006 and 2009.
During his second stint as the Tranmere manager, he guided Rovers to seventh place in League One and within two minutes of a play-off place before being unceremoniously sacked by chairman Peter Johnson, who replaced him with John Barnes.
All of Ronnie Moore's previous managerial achievements at Tranmere have been eclipsed this season, though, as the former striker has enjoyed a fairytale time back in the Prenton Park hotseat.
After taking on a club that had won just once in 20 matches last March, Moore immediately guided Tranmere to safety in League One before making a number of astute signings in the summer that have helped push the club to the summit of League One.
And, from 48 matches under Moore's leadership, Tranmere have incredibly picked up 25 victories, a win percentage of 52%, whilst they have lost on just eleven occasions.
The Rovers boss will now be hoping Rovers continue their good form as, with 17 games left, Tranmere look to cement their place at the top of the table and win promotion for the first time in 21 years.

I hope, if we do go up, that when we struggle next season, Ronnie doesn't get the Adkins style boot, as he's proven in League One for if we come back down.

Ha ha I noticed that Hoots. He tried a number of different techniques as well, but just couldn't manage it!
Also, did you notice just how bored Mick Horton looked? He looked as if he was going to fall asleep when Ronnie was speaking.
He didn't get any water out of the bottle let alone more

Great news though and given the increased attendances, maybe the club could afford to pay another £10,000 a year, or something like that, to say thanks pal.
However it seems that Ronnie's managerial technique, doesn't extend to water bottles; so he might need to get some advice off the silver service staff, for future press conferences.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
