Tranmere Manager Ronnie Moore was delighted with the result earned by his Rovers side in beating Exeter City 2-0 at Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon but he also admitted that there were aspects of the game from which his players need to learn as they made hard work of the 2-0 win....

Speaking to Tranmere Player after the match, Moore said......

"It's about winning.  We'd love to play like Real Madrid but if we play like the Horse & Jockey and win at the moment that will do me."

Ronnie Moore

"We dug deep, we defended well.  We were far too deep at times but it's hard when you're trying to tell them to get out.  We've got to learn how to keep the ball a little bit better when we're under the cosh, instead of just kicking it to them because it comes straight back at you."

Be one hell of a jinx to get us relegated now. He deserves it for the incredible turn round in our fortunes.

2.33 points per game average, but just behind Dave Jones becasue Tranmere have +7 and he has +8 on the GD.

However given their finances and Tranmeres, he might be seen as a touch over the odds, because if he averaged 2 pints a gem, he would still be top 2 on form right now and their fans wouldn't be dissapointed to average that, but Ronnie would never have been expected to average 2.33 as some might have questioned if 1.33 a game would have been a bit tricky for Ronnie to average.

I don't believe too much in hoodoo so bring on the Manager of the Month award and hopefully it would spur the team on to win a game with a 3 or 4 goal haul, which is the only thing lacking from the results this season.

I'd also on current evidence swap Brunt for Cassidy. Brunt is pretty good, but if Cassidy can get 2 in 2 coming on late, what about 90 minutes? He might just nobble a hat-trick.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
