Ronnie Post-Match: “I Thought the Lads Were Brilliant”

After his Rovers side earned a last gasp point at home to Notts County on Tuesday night, returning Manager Ronnie Moore was delighted with the spirit and determination of his side to keep going and earn a crucial point.
Returning Rovers boss Ronnie Moore was delighted with the spirit shown by his players that resulted in an injury time equaliser and 1-1 draw against in-form Notts County on Tuesday evening at Prenton Park.
Rovers had the worst possible start to Moore’s most recent tenure as Manager by falling behind after just five minutes but a much more determined second half performance saw Rovers huff and puff in front of goal and finally get their reward deep into stoppage time.
Speaking to Tranmere Player after the match, Moore said…..
"I didn't enjoy it when they scored but it was nice to be back out there feeling a bit of pressure. I got the response I wanted and I thank them for that.”
"I thought the lads were brilliant. It was a sloppy start, an awful goal we conceded. Goody got sloppy with the back pass and then Ash lost his man in the box and you think 'just what you want' but we had that bit of belief in the second half where we got at them, got crosses in the box.”
“Brunty has got to learn to take the opportunity, there was a half chance but he went for the pass. I've said to him to hit it, if it goes in great, if it goes past the post I'm not going to moan at him but the spirt, the determination and commitment was brilliant. It was nice for everybody when the goal went in.”
“The crowd have been brilliant. I've said to the lads 'they're not shouting my name just because I'm here, they've shouted my name because of what you did. You ran, you chased, you've harried, you've got back and defended things and that's why they're applauding.”
"I said to them, remember how it felt when that ball went into the net, remember that for Saturday. Everyone can see where we're short. If we keep working like that maybe we can find somebody to put the ball in the back of the net. We just have to tweak here, there and everywhere. There's a lot of crosses into the box, not enough shots and not enough goals.”
"Where do you get a natural goalscorer who's going to come and play for us? If I'm a manager of a Championship club who's got three strikers, I'm not going to let one of them out. We'll look and we've been on the phone. It's up to us to find it.”
"I must have called 40 odd agents today, there's one or two irons in the fire. I watched Everton and Liverpool reserves today, Liverpool have got one or two youngsters who could do with coming out and learning their trade so I'll make one or two phone calls tomorrow."

Beardsley, Barmby, Ablett and I think Dave Johnson moved from Liverpool to Everton and vice versa, but with Wallace being at Tranmere, could it be possible Everton, Liverpool or both, might be sniffy at the idea of a Liverpool player on loan, at the same club as an Everton player?
If Liverpool refused a loan until Wallace had left, or Everton threatened to recall Wallace if a Liverpool loan was agreed, it would be petty politics and I can't see why either or both would object, but you just never know.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
It's great to have him back. onwards and upwards.
