Ironic isn't it that 'we had to draft Cole in' when he was the best player on the pitch even if he was only on for ten minutes. Another woeful performance, well done to the lad in the jk with the banner.

His excuse on formations is pathetic, saying we only played like that because of injuries. Do me a favour Les, we play like that every week.

That interview smacks of desperation, and blaming everything and everybody except himself.

I wonder what Cole Stockton would think of that last sentence too.....

..probably wasn't intended like that but makes it sound like Cole has got his chance due to sheer desperation!

Interestingly my view of last night (particularly 2nd half) was that we did everything right except hit the net - really unlucky on at least three occasions not to hit net. Les was right - players were 'desperate' to score, which perhaps led to some snatching at efforts. Chill boys and the goals will come. Noticed not many 'booboys' at finish..... most appreciated the effort put in.

sorry les but that dont wash. every week a excuse why we dident proform. but never his fault. yes we have players out. but what dose that have to do with hes nagative set up. he chose to play three holding midfields. and leave lab and power on the bench. he chose to play one up front and stick lateef on the wing. he chose to make like for like subs again. why did he take lukus off and leave three holding players on. these are all les's choses so stop the excuses.

However the formation last night and the Yeovil game was slightly different and yes he has had players out and been forced to use Stockton, so he does have legitimate right to point these things out, because who's to say if players like Robbo and Showunmi were fit they wouldn't have gotten a result.

I don't necessarily on reflection think it's the tactics, tough I won't say it definitely isn't. People are clamouring for 4-4-2, but look at Stockton shooting straight at the keeper, (nothing negative intended by that), Akins doing it too. Would playing 4-4-2 suddenly make someone like Akins more accurate?

If Les had the kind of money to get players like Chris Porter, Ched Evans or James Beattie would they score more goals than Akins playing on their toddy upfront?

I would say so and more than 1-2 extra by the halfway point I'd reckon.

Players approach is key as well. Players need to assess how they think about their game, or their own performances.

Les isn't perfect, but some people need to stop attaching blame for everything on him, as seems to be the case sometimes He has had quite a few injuries racking up and frankly if people want him to go they could do one of two things.

1. Give Johnson another £50,000+ of their own money every year to finance a better manager.

2. Take some coaching badges, then tell Johnson they'll do the job for £20,000 a year, so they look cheaper and potentially more qualified.

Les is cheap to pay and is not perfect but is a guy capable of getting a 3 game winning strke when things go well.

Let's face it Neil Warnock has bene sacked a few times, but he still got a job managing QPR in the top 2 divisions, before his untimely sacking, whereas many managers losing higher profile jobs end up managing at lower levels hence Boothroyd at Watford and Coventry, versus Boothroyd at Northampton.

Even good conference managers wouldn't work for Les money, knowing that potentially they probably have a budget of £300 a week less for players that would be higher than Tranmere's when promoted and Luton and Fleetwood could potentially spend more than Tranmere.

I'm not expecting people to like what they watch, but to accept that unless there's more money for players and a manager you get Les, Kevin and John Mc, whether you like it or not.

Tranmere is NOT an atteracive proposition to managers once the financial constraints are revealed and Paul Jewell criticised the budget publicly so he must have been touted to be able to do that.

It might not be what people want right now, ut until things can change based on finances and a little more application from players then continue to find any optimism you can.

we played 4-5-1 last night there was nothing different from how we ever play.

sorry but finacial constraints are no reason to keep a manager. and i dont belive where in that bad a state. jim harvey or john coleman are in are price range. and could turn this team around. under les we wont win three in a row. i agree the finishing is poor and you cant blame les for that. but the lack of real chances we make. hitting long ball in to the box and hope to get some scraps. you can blame les for.

I'll tell you when clowns like the cock with the Les Out banner will be happy. They'll be happy when the club is bankrupt and sharing a ground with Vauxhall in the Bostick League. Then they'll really have something to moan about.

Les Parry has three seasons worth of experience. Managing a club with one of the smallest budgets in the league. If you can't name a serious alternative moan about something else.

There is no serious alternative, unless Johnson found the money for a £100,000 a year manager, not one earning £5,000 a year less than Les in the conference and probably getting a chunky pay increase when promoted to league 2 and a better budget.

Give a manager coming into this league £2,500-£3,000 a week for wages as a basic, you'll get one, give him Les money and watch many of them run for the hills.

Either that, or pay a manager £150,000 a season and then tell him that because you did, his budget is £750 a week for top players.

Probably the best alternative right now is Challinor. Tranmere in his system, proven at Colwyn Bay and FC Fylde, but seeing as he left one club for a smaller club, he's not a Paul Ince type character, so I doubt he'd walk away right now even if tempted, as he's not been there long enough.

So Tranmere might be waiting until 2014 to get him, if his loyalty to any club extends beyond a year.

That has to be the most unbelievable comment I've seen on here for a long time.

Well then you are free to offer up one or more alternative suggestions for manager, bearing in mind factors like cost and experience and whether or not their current clubs, (assuming it's a manager in England), could progress in the not too distant future, to a level where their budget and potentially pay, would exceed what Tranmere can offer.

These are all factors Johsnon and potential managers would weigh up, in regards to asking a potential manager the question and them answering it.

No, but considering factors I suggested, replacing him would be a very difficult task in my mind, because plenty of managers migh twant it, but their clubs status and success would potentially put off good ones and nobody would want a new manager to be someone in the bottom of the Conference North, who was'nt looking like a candidate for promotion and a similar financial situation to that being offered.

As I said before, offer someone 2,500-£3,000 a week for players, so his budget would exceed what his budget in league 2 and possibley leagye 1 cwould be, you'll get somewhere, but currently you'll get nowhere and it's possible Luton and Fleetwood have the same, possibly more than Tranmere.

I like Les and feel sometimes he justifies critique, but sometimes things like player commitment, injuries, illness, one or two poor signings like Mantom and Brown and referees, contribute to form too as well as the finances.

I know Tranmere could play better if they could afford free transfers like Chris Porter and James Beattie, but if you only have around £1,000 a week or little more, for players like Akins, you can't expect 20 a season even if you use a pukka 2 or 3 striker system, infact expecting 15 a season would be highly optimistic and i'm sure someone like Porter would have dunked at least one against Rochdale.

I just hope the takeover happens quickly and perhaps a little more revenue could be sought, if only from a small spike in fans. I wouldn't be expecting MK Dons money, but a bit more revenue for the club, to spend maybe just another £500 a week for top players, on a regular basis initially and then see what occurs.

However I would expect Les to at least be given 3-6 months, to prove he might be better than some think, if he was a bit more minted, because giving a new guy more money and then seeing him do better, would be nice, but wouldn't be fair on Les and anyone saying he'd be as poor as they thought, even with more to spend, would be talking rot, based on no evidence, if a new guy got to spend it and Les had no chance at all.

If Les had more money and ended up bottom 6 by Christmas, I'd want him to go as well and I estimate even if the club only had enough extra finance for another £500 a week for wages, that could equate to possibly around another £15,000- £20,000 a year for a managers salary, making a replacement a little easier to seek.
