After his side earned a 2-2 draw against Brentford at Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon, Les Parry admitted he was satisfied with a point in a game that Rovers struggled in despite a bright start....

Rovers Manager Les Parry was satisfied with a single point after his side surrendered an early 1-0 lead but fought back to draw 2-2 early in the second half thanks to an own goal and Martin Devaney's early strike.  The result leaves Rovers in 17th place in League One with a game in hand on most teams.

Speaking to Tranmere Player, Parry said......

"They were so dangerous on the break.  The two lads up front, everything was sticking with them. I thought they were a good side.  They've won a lot of games away from home and you can see why. They're organised, they're quick and strong and I'm quite happy with the point."

"The first goal...Mark McChrystal could have got tighter.  It was the same with the second, we've dropped to the edge of the box, he's been able to hold it up and lay it off. It was a great finish, Paul was never stopping it."

"Danny Holmes had a good game all round.  He's come into the side and is doing well. He was feeling his hamstring after he went on the overlap and it felt tight. Let's hope it was just a bit of fatigue."

"Joss had a foot injury which we need to look at. Maybe we should have taken him off a bit earlier. He was struggling earlier on but said he wanted to stay on, we should have made the decision for him probably and brought him off."

"We're always going to have a goalkeeper on the bench so there's four outfield players. That can mean you come out of the side and go to not being on the bench with this new number of subs. We wanted just one defender on the bench and we went with Ian Goodison (rather than Buchanan).  With not having Enoch and thinking of how Ian played up front at Sheffield Wednesday, we thought Ian just gave us that option as well."
