Tranmere's home game against Rochdale which was postponed just before kick-off on Boxing Day will now be played in mid-January after both clubs agreed a new date for the fixture......

Following the structural damage to the Main Stand at Prenton Park which saw the home game against Rochdale postponed on Boxing Day, the two clubs have now agreed to a new date for the game in just over a fortnight's time.

The match will now be played on Tuesday 17th January with a 7.45pm kick-off and all tickets for the previous game will remain valid on the new date but should supporters be unable to make the re-arranged fixture, refunds will be available from the Club Shop and Ticket Office.

The re-arrangement of the game now sees a busy run of games for Rovers in January as they travel to Yeovil and Bournemouth away on either side of the re-arranged match.

Tranmere have also reminded all supporters that Friday night's game against Bury does go ahead as scheduled (kick-off 7.45pm) but the Town End of the Main Stand will be closed for safety reasons.

The Club is in the process of contacting Town End Main Stand season ticket holders with the following advice:

1. Town End season ticket holders and match ticket holders can use voucher 13 from their season ticket books or their match ticket on the turnstiles to gain entry to the match in the Kop Stand, Johnny King Stand, Town Paddock or Family Paddock.

2. Town End season ticket holders and match ticket holders wishing to relocate to the Bebington End of the Main Stand can exchange voucher 13 from their season ticket books for a Bebington End match ticket (reserved seating) at the Club Shop or the Ticket Office portakabin collections window from 5pm on Friday evening. Supporters wishing to take up this option are advised to exchange their voucher for a ticket as early as possible to avoid queues. Entry will be via turnstiles 32 and 31 only.

Speaking of the closure of the Town End of the Main Stand, Chief Executive Mick Horton said...

“We apologise to all supporters affected not only by the closure of this part of the Main Stand but also by the postponement of the Boxing Day game against Rochdale.”

"Season ticket holders in the Centre Stand and Bebington End sections of the Main Stand, Paddocks, Kop Stand, Johnny King Stand and executive suites, plus away supporters in the Cowshed Stand, are not affected by the closure."
