Accrington Stanley v Tranmere Rovers Match Discussion
By Deadly Submarine
October 3 2011
If you can't make Tranmere's game away at Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night, why not join in the banter right here with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend......
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the more costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game as well as a half-time report on how the game is going for the benefit of those who are unable to make it.
Tranmere of course travel to Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on?
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible whilst there will also be our usual update service from our Twitter feed@totaltranmere so if you are not already following us it may be worth doing so!
would love Will Max and Cole to get a run out !
well, ahead of the Game ! does the , this cup matter ?
I myself think that going out wont hurt ! blooding some yougsters at this level in a game that ! well aint that important is so valueable
am going to say if we play in orange goal keeper kit we will lose as there home keeper kit is im yellow im going to say we be in orange and i think we have only won once in that kit so 2-1 stanley
See Les`s plan to score more goals has got of the ground at Accrington *OOOPPPPPPS* they now know were the net is but one thing wrong with Les`s cunning plan it`s the wrong NEToh well still a bit to go we might pull it back in fact Ash Taylor has just put one in come on you whites.
Game just been called due to a serious injury to Accringtons Tom Bender who had twenty minutes treatment on the pitch we were winning 2-1 at the time but that does not matter as long as the players injury is not too serious I am sure all Rovers fans wish him well , we can win the game next time round.
We received this this email overnight which I thought I would post here...
Hi there
I'm the drummer from Accy Stanley. Just wanted to say we appreciated the help one of your fans gave to Tom when he was hurt tonight. Luckily it was just concussion and he's being kept in over night for observations.
He was really lucky cause to be down for so long and not have done any lasting damage Is a godsend.
Anyway just wanted to say a thankyou to whoever it was and also for the concern your fans showed when I talked to some of them after
Deadly Submarine For me, the second photo on THIS LINK says everything about why the game was ultimately called off (and rightly so).
The keeper looks physically sick on that picture and he wouldn't have been the only Stanley player like that (although he may have felt worse).
The only outcome had to be abandonment.
So pleased to see common sense prevail, and glad to hear he's out of Hospital and on the Mend
I was at the match and the collision happened right in front of where I was standing. It looked like a run of the mill incident but it was quickly obvious he was out cold. Well done to the TRFC fan Dr Kevin Benson for helping out. All the fans where I was stood behaved well and it was good to see some positive comments from the press afterwards.
Hope Tom Bender continues to recover quickly.
Football has to take a back seat when such things happen, but it is good to know nothing more serious happened and it shows the mutual respect and cooperation that can be achieved, when people pull together.
The kind of cooperation and understanding racist premier league football fans could learn from.
As for the game itself, I think bing Captain gave Ash Taylor an added edge to his game that he benefitted from. I think it might focus him more so he's less vulnerable to some mistakes and Tiryaki scored so that is something too. Hopefully he can transfer that to some of the league games now.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
