The Tranmere Rovers Trust have today announced that a second fans meeting will take place in regard to attempts to buy the Club from Peter Johnson whilst the Trust will also be running coaches to the away game against Exeter City in November.....

The Tranmere Rovers Trust will hold a second fans meeting next week in relation to their proposed takeover of the Club from current Chairman Peter Johnson as well as revealing plans to run supporters coaches to Rovers' away game at Exeter in late November.
The latest fans forum will be held in the Belmont Suite at Prenton Park at 8.00pm next Tuesday, 20th September 2011. This will offer supporters a further chance to find out about the Trust’s scheme to raise funds to purchase Peter Johnson’s majority shareholding in Tranmere Rovers and the meeting will also be used by the Trust’s board to expand upon its ideas to take the club forward. All supporters are welcome and the bar will be open.
Speaking about the latest meeting plans, Trust chairman Ben Harrison said....
“The last fans forum threw up a lot of questions and gave us a lot to go away and think about. We want to keep supporters as up to date as possible about our plans, so we hope as many supporters as possible will attend this meeting.”
Supporters who wish to join the takeover scheme can choose from a Gold Option (£300), Corporate Option
(£500) or Basic Option (£50). There will also be the facility to pay for the Gold Option with monthly payments.

Following the success of the Trust’s coach trip to Bournemouth last season, the Trust is running a trip to the
away game at Exeter City on 26th November 2011. The coach(es) will be run on a not-for-profit basis and the price will depend on the total number of supporters travelling as follows:
Up to 40 people the cost will be £25.00 each.
41 to 44 people the cost will be £23.00 each.
45 to 50 people the cost will be £21.00 each.
50 + people the cost will be £19.00 each.
The coach(es) will leave at 6.30am from outside the Mersey Clipper next to Prenton Park, with other pick-up points near Chester and at Keele services. Arrival in Exeter at about 12.00pm. The coaches will go straight to the ground as the Trust board hope to meet up with the Exeter Trust, who run Exeter City.

The Trust board also stated that were sorry to hear about the recent passing of Tranmere supporter Anthony Cookson. A fund has been set up in memory of Anthony and various fundraising events are taking place over the next few weeks. The Trust has donated two tickets on the Exeter coach to be raffled or auctioned and Anthony’s family will also be offered a Gold membership of the takeover scheme in memory of Anthony.
