Robinson Agrees New Deal

Andy Robinson has signed a new one year contract at Prenton Park ahead of the 2011/12 season.
Attacking midfielder Andy Robinson has signed a new one-year contract with Tranmere Rovers.
The 31-year old rejoined Rovers in January and made 15 appearances for Les Parry’s side.
He had previously spent the last month of the 2009-10 season at Tranmere after beginning his professional career at Prenton Park. He has also spent time at Swansea City and Leeds United and has made almost 300 career appearances, scoring 62 times.
Andy’s new contract will come into effect on July 1st 2011.
Manager Les Parry said: “I’m delighted to be able to keep a player of Andy’s calibre at the Club.
“It’s not every day that you’re able to attract players of his ability and I’m really looking forward to having the whole season with him.”
Andy added: “I really enjoyed being back here last season and I can’t wait to get going again.
“There’s a decent squad here and hopefully we can get off to a good start and have a strong season.”

goodall is a local lad he used to live next door to my boyfriend he had a trial at tranmere when he was playing for liards when watson was manger and was told your a good player but we cant afford to pay you so he went to bangor insted made up about robbo signing sguad is starting to look good
Most positive news of the summer so far. Get him fit and he has great ability for a league one player.

Great news. Quality player, local lad, fan, what more could we ask for apart from getting him fit and ripping this division to shreds.
Have seen him out running a couple of times in recent weeks around Bebington so already preparing himself for pre-season training.

Getting Robbo in this early is fantastic. His last 2 seasons with us came all too late after not playing and taking a while to get match fit.

I find that hilarious, that we couldn't afford Goodall, but Bangor City could.
Most of those clubs can't even afford £400 for a player these days, let alone back then. Not when you get 500-600 on average for league games, so how Tranmere could not afford that guy but they could, baffles me, unless Watson had spent all but his last £10 of the seasons budget.
I think he might be a useful player, so definitely worth a look at least.

watson wanted to give him a pay as you play but as he said he need more job security than a game a month chance goodall took to turn it down and he has had an ok career out of it

good news but considering he was surposed to be improving our attacking options he has 3 out of the 5 trailests that are defenders!!
Glad Robbo has signed. Late in the season he began to flourish. With a good pre-season behind him, he could be a deadly weapon.
I think Rovers have learnt their lesson about giving out longer contracts than one year especially with the problems they have had with moving some players on. Robinson should be ok if he gets fully fit, keeps clear of injuries and can play for a FULL 90 minutes, something he has been unable to do since he arrived.
I reckon Lukas Akins acould have number 5,000, it might make him feel special, but be representative of the average number of minutes it takes him to score

Maybe they wanted to give Mahon a number and then got told by the FA the number 0 was not allowed

why is there no information from the club re mahon.if hes crocked do they have insurance to cover his disabilty to commute his wages.we could have paid pj by now otherwise
Maohn will be classed as fit enough to play as he was on the subs bench a number of times last season but just wasnt brought on, there are strong rumours that mahon has left i would guess we would have to pay a certain amount of his wages if its true.
my sources say he was payed a little ammount of money after he felt the origanol fee was to high and took half of it and he was very thankful to les for trying to help him get carear on track

I'd have a lot of respect for Mahon if that was true. Unlikely in my mind though.
well season before last he did give half of his wages back as he was injured through the whole season
