Charity Begins at Buckley Football Tournament

This Saturday sees a charity football tournament take place involving four teams, two of which football fans may have heard of and two of which they may not....
If you are a Rovers fan who is already missing your fix of football following the climax to the season a couple of weeks ago, Total Tranmere may have just the thing to cure that fix you so desperately need in the shape of a Charity Football Tournament organised by friends of Total Tranmere's Football Team, the North Wales Dragons who are based in Colwyn Bay.
Back in April, Total Tranmere FC played against the Dragons in a friendly game as part of the Dragon's warm-up to the tournament and a number of Dragon's players were at Prenton Park last Saturday to watch TTFC's players play on the hallowed turf so we in return we would like to encourage football fans to get down to their tournament this Saturday 21st May.
The tournament is to take place just over the border in Buckley, North Wales and Total Tranmere is urging any Rovers fans already missing their fix of football to get down and support a number of good causes at Buckley Town's Globe Way Stadium (Postcode CH7 3LY).

In total there will be six matches involving North Wales Dragons themselves, host team Buckley Town, Sheffield FC (the oldest football club in the world) and the Ayrshire Outsiders from over the other border in Scotland.
All matches will be 40 minutes long and the event will conclude with the annual Celtic Challenge Trophy which is contested each year by North Wales Dragons and Ayrshire Outsiders.
The timetable of events is as follows:
The home town team kick off the tournament against the Celtic Challenge Trophy Holders
12:50 North Wales Dragons v Sheffield F.C.
The North Wales Dragons then come up against Sheffield F.C. in a historic encounter
13:40 Ayrshire Outsiders v Sheffield F.C.
The team representing the World's Oldest Football Club will then tackle the lads from Scotland
14:30 Buckley Town v North Wales Dragons
The two home town teams then take to the field in the battle of Wales
15.20 Buckley Town v Sheffield F.C.
Sheffield then take to the field for the final time against Buckley Town
16:10 North Wales Dragons v Ayrshire Outsiders
Where it all started! The Dragons battle the Outsiders in the final game of the day and the victors of this game will walk away as Celtic Challenge Trophy winners
Admission to the event is free but there will be collection buckets at the Ground on the day in the hope of raising money for good causes so why not pop down.
Food & Drink will be available to buy at the ground on the day as well as a commemorative tournament program as well as other activities.
