Tranmere Rovers Football Club are urging fans to buy tickets early in order to avoid disappointment, as Rovers' Tuesday night game against Notts County is closing in on a sell out.

The club today announced that the Johnny King Stand and both areas of the Paddock are sold out of the League One fixture, whilst there is only limited availability left for the Main Stand.

The fixture is a massive game for both sides, as Rovers look to pick up three points that will edge them towards safety and admission was made free by Tranmere Rovers after the original game between the sides was abandoned shortly after half-time, with County leading 1-0, due to a waterlogged pitch.

If you wish to go to this fixture, then there are still plenty of tickets available for the Kop, which can be attained online through visiting the Tranmere Rovers website, www.tranmererovers.co.uk, or at the club's ticket office.

However, if you do not purchase your ticket by 5pm on Monday (18th April), then your ticket will cost £5.

This is a great opportunity to get down to Prenton Park and support your local football team, and hopefully the players will up their game in front of a crowd that could be as much as three times more than the normal average.

What about the Kop then? Are both upper and lower open and if so they likely to sell out do we reckon?

We can't be talking 14,000 home seats being taken surely?

Yeah they are but advisable to arrive 15 mins before k.o (which you're meant to do anyway) to ensure you get them, otherwise messing people around at 2.59 for your seat is not only a pain for yourself, and the person you're moving but contributes to a bad day match experience for all the people around you - the people we need to be attracting.

(That's not aimed at you specifically, btw)

Definitely not - I think we've sold 6000 tkts, plus 2500 ST holders is 8500, there are only around 13000 home seats in the ground aren't there? Cowsheds is 2500, how much of the JKS is netted off? 'Cause they're not opening all of the JKS.

If we get 10000 home fans and 1000 away fans (for some reason we've only allocated them 1000 seats) then it should be a good day, though that does mean shifting a further 4000 tkts.

This is taken from OS:
Town Paddock: Maximum capacity: 1,209
Bebington Paddock: Maximum capacity: 1,122 (+28 disabled)
So that is 2459

JKS is 2,414 - for arguements sake is 1900 after netted seats, taking attendance up to 4359, plus 1000 away fans = 5359

Then main stand which is 3,598, guess that'll be 60% full which brings the total to 7518.

Kop holds 5,696, presuming thats 60% full to, the attendance would be 10935, of which 9935 would be home fans.

Of course my guess of 60% is exactly that - a guess.

That must have been worse than someone putting 20p down, as if they were waiting to play a pool table (Sm7).

Or worse some german guy putting a Werder Bremen shirt on the seat, thinking it's the same protocol as bagging a sunlounger at the pool.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
