As the new year gets into full swing, it will soon be time to think about booking your place at the Mersey Masters for 2011 so here we have the details you need about the date of the tournament and the Grand Final.......

The Mersey Masters tournament for 2011 will take place this year on Saturday 18th June at the Echo Arena as Rovers' veteran players look to make it a 100% sweep of Mersey Masters titles in what will be their fourth appearance in the competition, already boasting three wins out of three.

Last year Rovers headed to Birmingham for the Grand Final but more importantly to defend their title they had won the year before at the Echo Arena in the 2009 Grand Final.  Sadly though, despite a 3-1 half-time lead over Birmingham in that 2010 final, they eventually lost on penalties and will be looking to snatch the title back this time around.

The Grand Final takes place on Sunday 4th September 2011 and this year will be held at Manchester's M.E.N Arena, making it a much more convenient location should Rovers be good enough to win the Mersey Masters.

Total Tranmere will bring you further news on the Masters including ticket information so stay tuned to us for that whilst we also hope to have two pairs of tickets to give away for the Mersey Masters on 18th June in a future competition.
