For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.

The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.

Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Stadium - Bournemouth 1

Tranmere of course travel to face fellow League One side Bournemouth inthe first round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible but these details are updated also on our Twitter Page throughout the game so if you're not following us already why not do so at www.twitter.com/totaltranmere.

Goodison!!! Game on!!

Writing this listening to commentary from my sick bed.

Hopefully you'll have something to make you feel better come the end of the game, Ancient!
I'm reading the updates on sky's website, deep in the bowels of Gloucester Police Station's underbelly.... it's a quite day, thankfully!

Game is now on!

well what a first half, collister's confidentce must have been zero after those first ten minutes, but i tell you what there is only one thing worse than being 2 up and the other team coming back, it's being 3 up and the other team coming back. if we can get a third they will be shattered come on rovers. i like this new found attacking team. why is our first 10-20 minutes always so bloody awful though? prediction 3-4 or 4-4

think they've done their homework on our forwards, but Cresser and Ian have given them plenty to think about ! just 3 attempts on target and 2 goals ! just love the Cup ! anyone else enjoy United last night ? and what a set of supporters and songs ! excellent

long trip for the lads for a tough cup tie and then a shocking start ! pleased tho the fight and spirit the lads have showed ! would have liked a chance a a big match, but with injuries going the way they have we seem to be at risk every time we play, so !
Feel For Joe, sounded like a few from close range not sure he was protected very well, all in all not too upset at the result, and it will have honed a couple of the lads a bit more

The result is a bit of a bummer, but in fairness scoring 3 goals in an away game can't be criticised.

Plus the first goal from what I read seemed a bit flukey. Getting a deflection off Goodison, hitting a post, rolling along the line and getting poked in.

Its well and good saying scoring three goals can't be criticised but we conceded 5! I am sick of giving teams head starts and we seem to leak goals for fun at the moment.

Two defeats in a row, seems the little mini revival is over.

I said it last week we have got to get back to keeping clean sheets & starting tuesday or we could be left with just a likely relegation battle to loo forward to.

I disagree Ricci. The fact Tranmere got 12 shots with 6 on target against Calisle, is positive. Better than playing away, putting 5-6 shots on goal with 1-2 on target and not looking like getting anything at all. The fact they got 3 today is positive, not including the 5 conceded.

I do think possibly the switch to 4-4-2 might have been an issue, as they'd gotten 2 back by then and Jennings on the wing is necessarily a good move. It may have made no difference anyway if they'd stuck with 4-3-3 though.

Plymouth, Hartlepool, Exeter, Notts County and Leyton Orient are not strong teams this season and this is a chance to progress up the table. Hopefully Jennings will be okay for next week.

So was Brentford woop's. Eight games left till half way. Are we really any better this year no my thoughts. There is no point hanging a round the bottom for another year and hoping that we are fifth from bottom after we one game every now and then. We might as well go down now and get it out the way. If that's what the budget and the owners want. The way the club run then it's only a matter of time. I think it's sad how my might rovers have been stripped down to a small club in a big ground...........................

It was an utterly bizarre game and I somehow found myself almost enjoying it even at 5-3 down as it just felt like more goals would come despite us not really playing that well (sadly they didn't of course).

Can't say I was enjoying it much after 7 minutes as it could have easily got worse before the keeper gifted us a goal but to come back to 3-3 and then lose was unbeleivable.

I even text a mate near the end and said despite it being 5-3 it somehow didn't feel in my mind like we two goals behind but that soon sank in on the way homesad smiley

As for the game, Enoch was once again terrible just as he was at Carlisle in midweek but I've heard that he was a doubt to even start on Tuesday due to fitness/injury which begs the question why he started either game.

Cresswell who was also poor on Tuesday (but again due to not being fully fit), had a better game yesterday but did gift them the vital fourth goal with a sloppy pass/control.

The biggest blow was losing Jennings to what looked like a knee injury although he did walk off and didn't leave by stretcher so hopefully it's not too bad.

In summary we just didn't wake up and after gifting them the first through terrible defending their confidence grew and they scored two decent enough other goals (the third in particular was excellent).

Cresswell's set piece and Goodys header gave us hope at half-time and as the second half began - to credit our players - we went for it (bringing Akins on for Blanchard) and got the leveller which we maybe just about deserved if only for the way we started the second half.

Man of the Match for me despite the scoreline was Marlon Broomes who was excellent again and since his return from injury has really looked good.

Just hoping now that Bournemouth get Brigthon or someone away from home - a game we won't be sorry to have missed out on now we're out.

Bournemouth away at Notts County.

One plus point... we won the last 83 minutes 3-2! Just a pity about the first seven.
