TWFST Season Ticket Packs Available to Collect

The Tranmere and Wirral Football Supporters Trust have confirmed that their Season Ticket Heritage Packs will be available for collection for supporters for the first time on Wednesday and Thursday evenings this week.....

The Tranmere and Wirral Football Supporters’ Trust (The Trust) is this week handing out its Heritage Packs to Tranmere Rovers season ticket holders.

The Trust launched a campaign to promote the sale of season tickets at Tranmere Rovers in April 2010. At the time, the club was fighting a battle against relegation and it was unclear which division the club would be playing in during the 2010-11 season.

The Trust offered supporters who bought season tickets by the deadline set by the club a free ‘Heritage Pack’. This pack consists of a shirt, scarf and bag based on the colours of the kit worn by Tranmere Rovers between 1889 and 1904.

It was hoped that this offer would encourage fans to support the club financially at a time when its footballing future was uncertain.

Tranmere Rovers have sold over 2,500 season tickets for the 2010-11 season. This compares favourably with the number of holders in 2009-10. The Trust believes that the Heritage Packs have assisted in maintaining the number of season ticket holders.

Speaking of the offer, Trust chairman Ben Harrison said....

“The Trust is committed to supporting Tranmere Rovers, both financially through fundraising activities and through initiatives that raise the profile of the club both locally and nationally. The Heritage Packs are the culmination of lot of hard work. The Trust and the Club have worked closely on a number of initiatives over the last 12 months and we hope that this relationship can continue to prosper."

“We are thrilled with the success of the Heritage Packs and we think that those supporters who showed their commitment to the Club at a difficult time will be equally thrilled with the packs when they collect them."

“We hope to continue our support of the Club with our new monthly lottery, the 500 Club, which offers supporters the chance to win up to £1250. Proceeds from the 500 Club will go towards future initiatives to support the Club.”

The 500 Club is limited to the first 500 applicants, who pay £5 per month, with a possible prize fund of £1250. Further details can be obtained by e-mailing 500club@twfst.org.uk

The Trust is running two collection nights at Prenton Park in the Belmont Suite behind the Bebington Kop on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th October 2010. The packs will be available for collection between 7pm and 9pm each night.

It is hoped that the majority of supporters will be able to pick up their packs on these two evenings although there will be further collection events arranged over the next few weeks.

Hi Mark here from the Trust.

Yes the first collection days are tomorrow and Thursday 7pm -9pm.

When you collect your packs you will need to bring voucher "A" from your season ticket book. If you are in the VIP areas just bring your season ticket. Only season ticket holders who filled in the pack application form are eligible for a pack.

As yet there are no opportunities to have collections on match days, as the club can't gurantee facilities on a match day.

We are trying to make special arrangements for long distance season ticket holders.

If you can't attend these two collection nights look for further arrangements at a later date.

Cheers for the Press Release - as you can see the story is up.

I need to have a word with someone from the Trust tomorrow if you're not too busy to see if we can get the page filled up on here that I have created for the Trust (currently blank).

I got my pack yesterday and I'm really happy with it. Thinking of getting a flat cap and fake moustache for the Southampton trip now.

I just want to say thank you to the trust for all their hard work. Pack is brilliant, shirts are good but the scarves are excellent. I never expected them to have the club badge on and it's on twice, well done. The club should help out and do something next season to encourage more season ticket sales. Are you putting any extra shirts and scarves on sale? I would be interested in buying extras.
