Weather Report

Another warm and dry afternoon despite forecasts earlier in the week suggesting otherwise making for perfect football watching conditions no matter whereabouts in the ground you were sitting.

Crowd

4,636 fans were inside Prenton Park for this game with a decent following of around 500 in the away end from Peterborough.  The atmosphere wasn't the best it's been but when Rovers went ahead and pushed for a second midway through the second half it improved.

Referee Watch

Steve Rushton - A quiet day for the referee who had very little controversy to deal with and only had the need to book two players on the day.

Best Moment

Aside from the goal in the first half the best moment was Ian Goodison's knocking of the ball into the air and then clearing it away!  Genius!!

Worst Moment

The injury that saw the end of Adam McGurk's afternoon was a bit of a concern after he had performed so well but there was very little else to comment on in the sense of negativity.

Tranmere Man of the Match

Enoch Showumni - Enoch worked his socks off upfront and looked a real threat against the Peterborough back line alongside the equally hard-working Ian Thomas-Moore and Adam McGurk.

Connections

There were no links between members of the two playing squads for this game.

Rovers Fans

As mentioned above, the Rovers fans were buoyed by the first half strike from Mendy and again when Rovers threatened for a spell in the second half but aside from this it was relatively quiet inside Prenton Park.

Peterborough Fans

Entertainment Value

When your team is winning things always seem better and despite a quiet spell in the middle of the second half it was a relatively entertaining affair.
