As the start of pre-season fast approaches, we have launched a brand new Site Poll to get you thinking ahead of the new League One season for Rovers which begins on August 7th with a visit of Oldham Athletic to Prenton Park.........
With the new season getting underway in just over a month's time, we decided here at Total Tranmere that a new Web Poll was needed so from today we are asking you for your views on the season ahead in League One and what you feel may be in store for Rovers.
The question we are asking you is 'Realistically, where do you expect Tranmere to finish this season?' with a number of differing options too choose from so why not vote now and make your vote count?
The poll can be found on every page of the Total Tranmere website, usually on the bottom of the left hand page menu or sometimes at the bottom of the pages in the centre.
We will bring you the results of the poll in a few weeks time and then launch a new one ahead of the start of the N Power League One campaign which begins on 7th August when Oldham Athletic visit Prenton Park.
I reckon 16th at worst. I went for 11th-16th on the poll, but i'm an optimist and think with 2 or 3 good signings we could be in and around the playoffs with a little bit of luck coming our way.
You can't say at this moment, but given the current state of affairs..botton four.
The pole is a bit early and better taken when we see what has happened twixt now and kick-off.
Too early to say as we do not have a team - but I am an optimist and voted for play offs!
I have to be more positive this season than last as I actually like the look of our midfield! Losing Jenno and Kay was was a disaster for last season. Both are quality and either would walk into most teams in this division. But I believe Les has replaced them. I think Welsh can anchor the midfield as well as kay after a year settling in, and the signing of Labadie is fantastic easily the equal of Jenno, I think he will get his foot in all over the park and he is switched on going forward so will provide and score goals.
Still plenty of signings to come, so still plenty of uncertainty but win the midfield in this division and you will win more than you lose.
If we can get a big target man who can hold the ball and bring the midfield into the danger area then I think we can hold our own in this division. If not I fear another relegation fight.
Still way too early for a poll however we surely have to do better than last season. As already stated above get a front man like a chief or Bas who can hold the ball, Hesky must be goin cheap.
