After Tranmere Rovers avoided relegation to League Two today, Total Tranmere brings you a special article that runs through what happened in the League One relegation battle today

Following todays events, Total Tranmere brings you a special article which runs through exactly what happened on a thoroughly exciting and nail biting day of football.

3.00: Kick off in League One, with Tranmere facing Stockport, Hartlepool travelling to Brentford, Gillingham taking on Wycombe and Exeter hosting Huddersfield

3.02: A Gary Roberts goal gives Huddersfield a 1-0 lead over Exeter

3.22: Exeter make it 1-1 thanks to a goal from from Matthew Taylor

3.38: Tranmere Rovers take the lead against Stockport as Ian Goodison lashes the ball home from 6 yards

3.47: Wycombe give Tranmere a huge boost as Phillips opens the scoring with an injury time goal against Gillingham

HALF TIME: As it stands, Tranmere Rovers are 18th, ahead of Hartlepool, then Exeter and then Gillingham

4.07: Ian Thomas-Moore stretches and succeeds in knocking Zoumana Bakayogo's cross into the net to put Tranmere 2-0 up

4.19: Gillingham face a mountain to climb as Bennett put's Wycombe 2-0 up

4.27: It looks all over for Gillingham as Kevin Betsy finally pleases Tranmere fans as he put's Wycombe 3-0 up

4.31: Tranmere Rovers clinch victory as Joss Labadie makes it 3-0 against Stockport, all but seal their League One place

4.37: Exeter City score a late, late goal against Huddersfield, with Ryan Harley's tenth goal of the season giving them a 2-1 lead

FULL TIME:

Exeter 2-1 Huddersfield
Hartlepool 0-0 Brentford
Stockport 0-3 Tranmere
Wycombe 3-0 Gillingham

It's jubiliation at St. James' Park and Edgely Park, where victories for Exeter City and Tranmere Rovers mean both sides have secured their League One status.

Hartlepool holding on for a draw however is much worse news for Gillingham, who's 3-0 defeat to Wycombe means they have been relegated to League Two just two years after returning to English Football's third tier.

A mass pitch invasion followed at Edgely Park, with Tranmere fans celebrating in the stands, streets and on the pitch after a wonderful display which left manager Les Parry delighted.
