After a superb win at Stockport today, Tranmere managed to retain their League One status for another season at least

Tranmere Rovers today completed the impossible task of staying up after a superb 3-0 win over Stockport County.

A first half goal from Ian Goodison was followed by second half strikes from skipper Ian Thomas-Moore and on-loan midfielder Joss Labadie gained Tranmere a valuable three points that were enough to save them this season.

The victory left Tranmere nineteenth in the table, one point ahead of Gillingham, who were relegated on goal difference behind Hartlepool, who were also a point behind Rovers.

Tranmere fans were out in force and in good voice for the game, with over 3,000 of the Super White Army at Edgely Park this weekend.

Who are you, Jamie Oliver? He can eat whatever he likes, it's clearly not having a negative effect on his performances. Usain Bolt became Olympic champion and world record holder for 100m running on a diet of chicken nuggets.
