By Total Tranmere
December 7 2009
Throughout the season we will provide you with a platform to discuss each and every Rovers match whether it be the build-up to kick-off or post match analysis so here we bring you the Match Discussion Thread for Tuesday night's FA Cup Second Round replay away at Aldershot witha home game against Premier League side Wolves the prize for progression......
Aldershot v Tranmere
Kick-Off 7.45pm at The Recreation Ground
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match anaylsis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.
Tranmere of course away at Aldershot on Tuesday evening in their FA Cup Second Round Replay with the prize a home draw against Premier League side Wolves, so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
waiting for the team ! wonder if we may see a few changes ? Fraughn in ? Tom Baker diven a start, the pace of Jennings up front ? may be Jack Mak on the wing ? connor in the middle ?
m sure if at all poss les may like to rest a couple of lads for at least 45 mins !
well ! just remembered that the reserves have a match too tomorrow aftrnoon !,,,,,, may be an uner 15s side sat at Raby V Wrexham ! weather permiting 1 missed the last couple of Ladies matches I presume coz of the rain !
We dominated possession in the first half but they looked the more threatening going forward but we then scored through the own goal/deflection at just the right time before the break.
Second half we were comfortable again until we got the second at which point we were totally outplayed for the last 30 minutes and just hung on because they scored their first too late.
A great day out at a shocking Ground with shocking treatment of away fans and shocking attitude towards them. If we get relegated I can't see me going back there in s hurry.
Listening to the match I think we deserved it. Good commitment and like against Brentford a good battling performance. Their confidence is on the up, bring on Wolves.
What we are seeing now is the team battling and grinding out results. It is a poor squad that is now better motivated. Previously it was a poor squad lacking heart. It is to LP credit that he has added fight to the squad. There is only so much that he can do on that count. Surely PJ will let him strengthen with at least 2 wothwhile signings in January.
My worry is that PJ will convince himself that current results show that he squad is good enough. I dont think that it is although LP is extracting as much as possible from the playing resources available
