On a quiet loan deadline day at Prenton Park, striker Kithson Bain was the only mover as he joined Blue Square Premier side Kettering Town on a loan deal which will last until 5th January 2010. No players have been imcoming at Prenton Park today meaning Les Parry will have the same squad until January's transfer window....

Tranmere had a quiet loan deadline day on Thursday with no players coming into the Prenton Park squad but one player has departed on a short term loan deal with striker Kithson Bain joining Blue Square Premier side Kettering Town on loan until 5th January 2010.

The 27 year old Grenadan International striker was signed by John Barnes in September of this year and has made six first team appearances whilst also appearing regularly for the Reserves in a bid to get used to his new surroundings and build up his fitness for the English game.

Speaking of Bain's deal, caretaker Manager Les Parry said....

"We have a lot of competition here in the striker department with Craig Curran, Chris Shuker, Ian Thomas-Moore, Michael Ricketts and Terry Gornell all starting in recent matches, so Kithson has been limited to substitute appearances and Reserve team football."

"This move will give him more experience of competitive football and allow him to get a few games under his belt.  Hopefully he will return here in January and push for a place in the team"

hope it goes well for him there maybe able to adapt to english football there, hopefully weve allowed him out as someone coming in.
Does anyone know what time the deadline is 4 loans today?

Im glad to see the back of him to be honest. I wasvery optimistic when he first arrived but he has failed to impress me. The final straw was his cameo at Leyton Orient, he offered nothing and looked like a fish out of water.

Im made up that Terry and Craig will now have a better chance of playing as I think its them who will get us out of this mess. They dont stop running and working hard for the team.

The reason that we have alot of competition is taht there is little to choose between the players, not because they are convincing.Does anyone really think that any of our forwards will reach double figures for the season.There is asimilar situation in midfield whilst the defence is the weakest area of all. Like every Rovers supporter I cling to each win as a possible turning point but my head tells me that this is a very poor squad and relegation will not be avoided without changes

i dont agree I think we have players capable or putting chances away, gornell given a good run cud do a job as i think can ITM.

Defensively we a looking a lot better, we kept the top scorer in league 1 out the game the other night.

The players have underachieved so far but with confidence and a decent run of results I'm sure we are going to climb up the table.

Watch him go and score against Leeds on Sunday, sods law, is it being televised, bound to be highlights on MOTD2.
Good luck to the lad, thought he only had a contract with us untill January, sure it was only short term, could be wrong.

He's contracted to January. I think it's Bakayogo and Carole who are only contracted to January.

As for being allowed to play I would suspect we won't let him but I may be wrong.

if we were to lose tomorrow h would then be allowed to play for them on sunday otherwise we wont allow him to be cup tied.

Should just let him play if they want him to. He's still gonna be their for 3rd round right? We probably won't get to the 4th round will we, could be invaluable experience for him!
