unchanged team from saturday i will go for a draw but we really need to win

Wycombe are not playing well and so this is a good fixture if we are to turn form around.Lose tonight and we really will begin to look like one of those teams that from day one gets and stays glued to the bottom.

If PJ were not protecting his debt we could ,if well a drift gone into Admin in January and take the 10 point hit.Once relegation looked odds on it would at least offer a future and the board could plan for that future.Instead everything is geared to preserving the asset of our major debtor

Exeter weren't playing well and then suddenly we were the first team to lose to them at home....

Yet again we were much improved on the last game (and apparently on the Exeter game before that).

Yes Wycombe were a poor side who probably had (and certainly wasted) more chances than us but if there's anything our side has missed in the last month or more it's 1) A Clean Sheet and 2) Confidence - something this win is bound to bring.

I have to say that although we kept a clean sheet, Goodison tried his best to ensure that didn't happen with a shocking display whilst Cressa seemed to also struggle in this one although not helped by Goodison.

All in all a fully worthwhile trip and a great night including getting in for free and thus saving £18.00!!

A deserved three points for Rovers, but possibly only because we found ourselves up against a side with even less confidence than ours. This was my first sight of Digger and Trigger's boys this season as I'm exiled in Essex and don't get home much, although I do get to about a dozen games home and away every season. For what it's worth we could have won by more if the lads weren't so negative. They play some good football but Goodison has completely lost his mojo and seems incapable of playing anything other than desperate clearances UP the pitch, and his jittery form seems to be affecting Aaron Cresswell. I'm not convinced about Broomes but Logan impressed me with his effort and running and it was good to see him trying to rouse the SWA to even greater backing after we scored. Welsh and McLaren put themselves about and Shukes worked his socks off. Carole too did his bit and isn't afraid of getting stuck in. Thomas-Moore was similarly determined and took his goal brilliantly, but Ricketts is an utter plank and should have been hauled off 10 minutes into the second half. I couldn't understand why Barnes brought Edds on for Carole on the left of midfield and then switched Shuker for Mahon. Huh??? It was interesting to see Barnes swaggering around before the game when the lads were warming up. He seemed to be having a go at a very bemused McLaren in a very animated way. It reminded me of the way Hoddle used to try and belittle his players with his ball skills when he was Tottenham boss. Man of the match award goes to the travelling 200 or so who made the trip. The only grumbles came when the lads hesitated in possession and were forced to play back towards goal. Otherwise they were brilliantly supportive and made far more noise than the players deserve from them at the moment. A win's a win but a decent Millwall side will drive a wagon and horses through our central defence unless Goodison pulls his finger out. Keep the faith. TRFCLoyal.

Pretty much agree with that to be honest.

I think Ricketts has done OK up to now but today wasn't his best game for us.

My Man of the Match would be Mclaren just ahead of Shuker and Carole who as you say were both excellent tonight.

I don't agree with changing a winning side and never have but before long I like to see Barnes start Taylor and Broomes in central defence together.

In relation to your Barnes warm-up comment he's done that all the way through from pre-season giving individual instructions to players before the game.

Goodison's confidence has been shot to pieces since the "genius" Barnes took him off against MK Dons. It's not his ability that's not there it is his confidence, Barnes needs to open his eyes and try to install some confidence in him.

Unfortunately we need someone with man management skills to this and I'm not convinced that Barnes has these - especially given the fact he slagged off a 17 year old Goalkeeper making his debut in public - that is unforgiveable.

I know Goodison's been a great servant for us Deadly S but I don't think it's his confidence that's lacking. His belief in the team and what he's doing maybe, but not his confidence. He still swaggers around but it's the urgency and ability that's suddenly missing. Perhaps i'm doing him a disservice and he just doesn't trust his team-mates with the ball. My only other remark regarding Barnes is that I don't understand why he would persist with Ricketts when he was making no impact at all rather than give Curran or Kithson, both of whom were clearly chomping at the bit, a runout. Either of them would have provided a far better outlet than Ricketts and given Wycombe something more to worry about.

Come on fella, we've lost 8 or so games on a row Barnes has been ripped to shreds. We've won a game and finally a chance to feel a bit more positive and you are still slagging him off again.

At least wait till the weekend - if he's that bad we'll lose again so you'll get your chance then.

And any Professional Footballer who has his confidence rippped to shreds after being substituted once in a match is pathetic especially seeing as he was from what I recall carrying an injury.

Gooodison is playing badly I don't think anyone would deny that, maybe its confidence, maybe he's hit the wall, maybe just a bad run, I don't know but to blame it on a substitution is a ridiculous statement.

Think you might be the only person here who would put Curran in. Bain I'd agree with though but he obviously needs to sort out his match fitness.

Bit worrying that cressa sounded iffy again as he's looked iffy last few times I've seen him.
