Tranmere Rovers v Walsall - Match Discussion Thread
By Total Tranmere
September 11 2009
Throughout the season we will provide you with a platform to discuss each and every Rovers match whether it be the build-up to kick-off or post match analysis so here we bring you the Match Discussion Thread for Saturday afternoon's Coca Cola League One match at home to Walsall.....
Tranmere R v Walsall
Kick-Off 3.00pm at Prenton Park
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match anaylsis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.
Tranmere play host to Walsall in Coca Cola League One on Saturday afternoon, so if you're not going to the game, why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores in Coca-Cola League One as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
MikeH I'm going 0-0
I'd expect us to be pretty cautious and walsall would probably take that, could be a cracker.
What could be cracking about a cautious approach and a no scoredraw ?
I think MikeH was saying that despite his 0-0 prediction, he could be totally wrong and it could be a cracker. Well, 2-3 is cracker, but the wrong way round!

Had an indifferent day at work yesterday and was knackered when I got home after a 13 hour shift. But imagine my surprise when I turned on ceefax to check the Tranmere score to see that they weren't getting thumped. Seeing the 2-2 scoreline made me feel a whole load better I must admit. Then imagine my horror when I switched off ceefax, turned the telly over and saw that within 5 seconds Tranmere were now 3-2 down.
I could go on and slag Bsrnes off etc here but that's starting to get tiresome for me so I'll just ask two questions instead"
1. How was the teams overall performance on the day?
2. Does anyone know if Barnes has been sacked yet?
I still that some of the players aren't helping matters. Though i thought Mahon played better, at times he just seemed like he couldn't be arsed. Shuker was as frustrating as always, and Ricketts clearly needs to lose a few pounds.
Players shouldn't be made to believe that they can't be dropped, and what has happened to Barnett?
Ricketts was so fuckiny lazy saturday he'll never get fitter standing in. the same spot the whole game. I have to give curran my motm as he done the work of 2 men if not more. Worked an worked
