Kick-Off 7.45pm at Prenton Park

For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.

The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match anaylsis.

Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Tranmere host Milton Keynes Dons in Coca-Cola League One on Tuesday evening, so if you're not going to the game, why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores in League One as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Dons fan here think we will struggle tbh,we have not had same back four since May and we now have 2 possibly 3 of starting back 4 out tommorrow.
Think you will be to strong for us after your recent games.
Happily take a draw, but think you will grab the points.

MK dons fan here - not at all confident. I think back 4 are getting stronger (4-1 defeat aside) but we can't score to save our lives. I'll take a draw but am expecting a defeat.

I doubt it is, because we're at home, and often they don't broadcast games when we're at home to get more fans to go to the match.

Just back from the game and was disppointed at the performance.
The first 15 minutes in both 1st and 2nd half we were bright and created chances 2 good saves from their keeper in the first half then hitting the woodwork t.wice in the second half.

However for the rest of the game We were very ordinary to say the least, we looked fairly preditcable and the passing sloppy. Can only think Goodison was injured as didnt make sense taking him off and why Gornell replaced Thomas-Moore was rather a strange move likewise Edds for Mahon when Barnett is used to plying wide left.

As for Mahon in the 3 games so far he has really contributed very little and for someone who we have pushed the boat out for i expected a lot better.

Cant say im looking forward to the Leeds game.

Failure to take the chances we had cost us the game as did the injuries to Goodison and Moore (with Mahon also injured apparently).

I thought that for the first half we were mostly on top but second half it was mostly hoof and hope rather than the passing game Barnes wants to play.

Once Moore went off we didn't look like scoring and as we said before it happened it was the Dons that were most likely to score - it had to be Jabba the Hut who scored against us yet again toosad smiley

Man of the Match for me was Gunning at the back.

dissappointed, they passed all day long and just waited untill that chance came and they took it. we huffed and puffed by had no cutting edge. we looked our brightest when we hit the bar twice. apart from that we were predictable and sloppy. we gave the ball away too much and werent making enough space. once they scored we were looking for someone to take the game by the scruf of the neck, but nobody could.

daniels: 6 had little to do
logan: 5, not decisive enough and went missing for the goal
goodison: 8, put in some superb tackles, before he got injured
gunning: 6 decent game, distribution was poor at times
cresswell: 6 average game, we played better when he pushed up and joined the attack
mahon: 4, wasnt involed anywhere near enough
mclaren: 6 quality passing, not enough urgency though
welsh: 6, competative and decent game
shuker: 4 poor game, final ball isnt there and had poor decision making
thomas-moore: 7, our biggest threat, looking hungry and was unlucky not to score
curran: 5, huffed and puffed but theres no cutting edge

taylor: 5 looked shaking
edds: 5 why not bring on barnett at left mid?!
gornell: 5 didnt have the same inpact as saturday

The main difference IMO was that MK Franchise well & truly won the midfield battle which left us hoofing long balls over the top. Alan Mahon was very poor tonight & created nothing. I think Edds would have been better off starting. Goodison had a great first half & put in some great blocks. Shuker also played well for 45 minutes but then seemed to drift out of the game. Moore worked hard & was my MOTM.

Can only really echo what's already been posted. I thought it was a strange decision to replace Mahon with Edds, seeing as Charlie Barnett was on the bench?

Alan Mahon hasn't impressed me yet this season. I didn't go to the Yeovil game and missed the Grmisby match but from Saturday and tonight's showing, he needs to pull his socks up if he is to keep his place in the side. As someone's posted above, Barnett plays on the left and performed well last season. He was also a member of the squad we were keen to keep hold off.

McLaren has good distribution but he doesn often pull out of challenges and 50/50's. This was evident both tonight and on Saturday.

Something which alarmed me, was when Gornell was being brought on and Curran's number went up - only for Barnes to tell McAteer it was the wrong one and it was supposed to be Moore coming off. There seemed to be some confusion bewtween the pair...lack of communication perhaps!? They stand at opposite ends of the dugout during the game.

I was under the impression that Curran was meant to come off but Moore coming off was a late decision but I don't really know to be honest.

I sit right behind the dug-out Sub and there seemed to be confusion amongst the bench, inparticularly, Barnes and McAteer?? I think McAteer and put the wrong number in than what Barnes wanted

McAtter can't count to 25 so I guess that explains the cock up there.

Simple equation for Tranmere:

Team + Goodison = good chance of win

Team + No Goodison = game over

Ash Taylor was awful when he came on and looks far too lightweight (Despite his size) to play in defence.

We looked clueless when we conceded when before that we'd arguably been the better team. We didn't play hoof ball but then we didn't play our passing game either. It was weak and disappointing, a real struggle too.

Before the goal we looked good and possibly dominated, but we didn't take our chances and therefore it's hardly surprising we lost.

Iberhe was excellent when he came on and deserved his goal. He had Ash Taylor in his pocket and used great strength to his effect.

For us, McLaren was shocking, his passing was abysmal and he couldn't get into the game. Curran did lots of running but no end product whilst Moore was superb upfront and deserved a goal for his efforts.
