Antony Kay volleyed in an equaliser twelve minutes from time to guarantee a thrilling showdown with Scunthorpe next week.  A win against our play-off chasing rivals would guarantee a play off spot.

Rovers didn't perform too well and went behind mid-way through the second half but captain Kay popped up to earn Rovers a point and protect the superb home record.

There was one change to the side that lost to Leeds last week as Craig Curran replaced the injured Bas Savage in attack meaning that the staring XI looked like this.....

The first chances fell to Yeovil with John Obika testing Coyne and Paul Warne volleying wide.  An excellent Andy Taylor block also denied Townsend.

Sonko and Curran then did well to carve an opening for Ian Moore who blasted straight at the keeper from six yards out when really he should have scored.

Townsend drilled an effort top corner bound and Danny Coyne produced a superb one handed save to keep the scores level.

Shotton looped a header onto the roof of the net from an Andy Taylor free kick before Townsend sent a shot wide as the sides went in for half time all square.

Coyne had to save with his feet from a Tomlin shot as Yeovil came out lively in the second half.  Schofield then made a determined run goalwards and smashed an effort against the bar with Danny Coyne possibly getting a touch.

Terry Gornell came on in place of Eddy Sonko with Moore moving to right midfield and soon after, Yeovil took the lead as Tomlin set up Obika who took it past Chorley and coolly slotted in off the post to give the visitors the advantage.

Rovers were shocked and tried to respond quickly when Kay curled a free kick straight at the keeper. Chorley then headed over a Taylor free kick.

Obika fired wide for the visitors and Robbie Burns came on in place of Charlie Barnett and with the very next Rovers attack the equaliser came.

Shotton's long throw went all the way through and Kay's hooked volley went into the far corner, a superb finish from Rovers' top scorer with twelve goals.
