If you're unable to make the home game against Bristol Rovers on Sunday afternoon in Coca-Cola League One, why not discuss the game right here as Tranmere look to continue their ever-difficult quest for a play-off place.. Article Header - Match Discussion

At Total Tranmere, we always like to take note of feedback from the users of the site and respond to it in the best way we can.  One thing we have picked up on more recently is that after Tranmere games there seem to be a lot of different threads that get started about the same game.

As a result of this feedback, from now on we will be providing Match Discussion Threads for every occasion when Tranmere play.

Tranmere are of course playing at home to Bristol Rovers in Coca-Cola League One so if you're not going to the game, why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on and even discuss the team news and build up to the game beforehand too?

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.  Or why not post the line-ups or anything else you can think of.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores in League One as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

I reckon a 2-1 win to Rovers even though the potential larger crowd tells me it mght all go wrong for us ike it ofte does when there are special offers on for a game.

Attendance wie I think 8000 would be more than respectable.

It's getting to the stage now where we have to pick up as many points as possible. We MUST win this fixture, especially as it is at home and we've got to do it whatever way possible.

I'll go for a 2-0 win, Barnetto and Curran, in front of a 9,500 crowd

Good, efficient win that keeps us in the play-off race. Played well enough and deserved the victory. Well done boys.

Thought they were really poor compared to how they destroyed us at their place (although we were poor that day to be fair).

A great result though and on to next week in the land of Brum!

Great win, back to within a point, and we now have the best home record in the division for this season smiling smiley

We desperately need to win this Sunday, surprisingly enough, the huge game for us on Friday has to be Southend v MK Dons, a win for the home side who are in exceptional form, and have come from nowhere to challenge for an outside play-off place, and we could move to within 3pts of MK Dons by beating a Walsall side with nothing but pride to play for on Sunday...

If Scunny don't beat Hartlepool, what an incentive that will give to the team on Sunday.

Keep an eye out for Leeds tomorrow night as well, they play their game in hand over us at Leyton Orient, and if they don't win, then I think that puts them back into the mix. It's now very much realistically just us and Southend chasing, Oldham have got a very very slim chance, but would 100% need to win all of their remaining games to stand any chance..

There are some huge games over Easter weekend where teams can easily drop points, let's just make sure that we are not one of them...

I don't think I want Southend to win on Friday to be honest - they are looking ominously good at the moment and perhaps the favourites to sneak in based on current form?

Not his best game in my opinion (that came away from home but can't remember which game) but yeah he had a good game yesterday definitely.

In fairness, the Pope done well. He made a fantastic tackle first half and worked well, but his legs go to jelly in front of goal!

Personally thought Barnett was MOTM. His turn of pace is fantastic.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the two penalty appeals, both teams should have had a penalty. Ours was well inside the box, if we hadn't scored from the resulting free kick we could well have been looking at that decision for a long time to come! When Craig Disley went through on goal and Goodison brought him down, from where I was sat it was a stone wall penalty, can't believe it wasn't given and their lad got a yellow card, big let off in my opinion as it was when Goodison only got a yellow when he was arguably the last man. It was a comfortably victory granted but I think it could have been a very different story to be honest. We did get the rub of the green and overall deserved to win, a shame really that a few away games haven't fallen like this one did! All in all though very chuffed with the 3 points! Well worth a fiver!

Goodison should of been booked and they should of had a penalty, but what Goodison was booked for wasn't a booking. We should of also had two penalties in the second half - once when Sonko was dumped on the ground, and the other when someone jumped into a two footed tackle on Moore. i thought the ref was awful for both teams.

Yeah I agree Mikey actually forgot about the other two incidents. The ref did have a bit of a howler really to be fair but all in all I think we deserved the win!

I thought Sonko made a lot of it and could have kept the ball but I did think the incident shortly after when two of our players ended up on the floor was a pen!

the sonko one wasnt he was jsut not strong enough

the goodison one strangely enough although it did look a peno when there player was booked not one of the players appealed. An i agree with mikey about the goodison booking, he got the ball and fell and the other guy fell over him it was nothing.

I only saw second half but from what i saw i thought we played well and the 2nd goal was class barnett is showing the qualities we knew he had, what a differance confidence does to a player.

i was on line with the goodison tackle. it wasnt a peno. the other nonsense when we should have a penalty but it ended up a free kick. crazy! and then at the kop end another shout. good job we won.
