papering over cracks, we'll be back to square one very soon. sorry to be very negative because it is a very good win but it doesnt change what we all know.

Good result, maybe Leyton Orient are the side that change around our fortunes. We picked up our home form after playing them away earlier in the season, and after playing them at Home, our away form improves.
Not to say that we weren't probably the weaker side in tonights encounter from what I could hear on World, but after not getting anything out of games we deserved more than a point in, it is vital that we get a bit of fortune our way...

We will see if the hex really has lifted when we play Sarfend on Saturday, and who knows, after next Tuesday we could be in a play-off position.

IF we win on Saturday, then that's us in a very good position ahead of 3 home games on the bounce. All I can say about tonight is that we now have 2 clean sheets on the bounce without Goodison, our next 4 away matches are against sides currently in the bottom half of the table, and if we can put in a good solid defensive display against Sarfend and get a draw, I would be happy ahead of our little home run.

I said that tonights game would be make or break, and if it gives the lads some confidence for their away games then it could be the start of something great for us...


Well done to Shotton as well, glad that he is back for the team, bringing him back could really be the key to our success.

asdly Rovers always seem to do just enough to keep you interested but let you down at the final hurdle. as said above too am sorry for coming across negative like, but we could have been in such a good position away to bottom then home to 4th from bottom and we got 1 point the lads blew it, knocking everyones confidence... then when your about ready to throw the towel in they get a top result like tonight. It's great were back in the mixer with a shout again but im really not getting carried away.

i would have been delighted to be in the position we are in now this time last season. imo looking a stronger team and on the edge of the play offs, a few home games on the bounce and with three strikers out who will shortly be returning to first team football.

considering the lack of money and resources ronnie has been a miracle worker. and i'll say this i have not seen any team at prenton park this season who i thought were a million miles from us. there may be clubs that have huge amounts of cash but in terms of football in this division we are all much of a muchness. so let us get carried away. were as good as anyone one else in this league.

From what I can see we are a team in with a great shout of making the play-offs and the fact our away form has been so bad and yet we are still were we are is positive for the remainder of the season.

The 110 (I counted at one point) fans who went down last night deserved that win.

Last night was arguably the best away trip of the season simply for the fact that plans changed so late and we managed to win the game too!

nice win last night , i expected the worst given the poo performance at crewe but was suprised when i saw the result

Fantastic result and a thoroughly deserved win. Two goals dissallowed, one shot that might have crossed the line and we hit the bar. We battered them second half, bar a ten minute period towards the end, and deserved the three points on the night.

We've been putting in good performances on the road for a while and not winning...Peterborough in the F.A. Cup, Scunny in the JPT, Hereford in the league and apparently Millwall away too. Hopefully now those performances are beginning to turn into wins.

100 odd fans there last night, cracking atmosphere and great to see Tranmere put on a show for them against a side that have been in great form recently - unbeaten in nine before today.

Our first Tuesday night away league win for nearly three years, two clean sheets without Goodison, a fourth away win of the season. Things are looking good. We're playing well and picking up the right results.

Last night, we were good. Second half, the likes of Savage, Barnett and Taylor excelled, whilst my MOTM, Ryan Shotton, was immense through out.

If we can pick up five points or six points from the next three games then that would be an excellent return - considering the opposition - and put us in a great position for that surge towards the play-offs that we are about to make.

Come May, we'll be at Wembley.

Superb day, great game and great result!

A lot of it made possible thanks to James and his family allowing me to stay on Monday nihgt after the Coach got cancelled and after initially thinking I was going it alone in the car it was great to have the company of James and Matt on the way and two more in addition on the way back!

Fair play to you lot that went, what a load of nutters! You deserved to see a win travelling all that way on Tuesday night. Would agree that it is not wise to get carried away, I didn't expect us to win but was pleasantly suprised that we did! There are a lot of hinderances about this season regarding the squad in my opinion and to be quite honest, I'm amazed we're this close to the playoffs. Not to take anything away from the lads that have performed well for most of the season but when its crunch time which is basically now to the end of the season we need to start taking our chances, hopefully with Curran and Greenacre back in the fold in the next couple of weeks it will give everyone a lift and allow us to kick on against the bigger teams in this league. We've got a lot of tough games coming up now but we've already opened up a gap between ourselves just outside the playoffs and Walsall who are 12th, the gap is 10 points.

seriously though were up against some very good teams for that 5th an 6th spot and i just don't think we have it in us. fingers crossed im wrong like, but we have struggled all season to get back to ack wins and the gap between us an the play offs requires exactly that! it's not beyond us but the way we've been going so far just isn't good enough to do that, we need the soon to be back players to hit the ground running and the current first 11 really need to find another gear. As mentioned across the board its VERY pleasing to see clean sheets without Ian, at one point we may have even thought this only possible through divine intervention!! however we need Kay in the middle so hurry back goodo.

fingers crossed lads anyway. Atleast being in with a shout on the last day would make for an excellent final day.. i hate it when your season is over mathematically long before the actual season ends
