Ahead of the big game at Elland road, between Rovers and Leeds on saturday Richard Baggott gives us his thoughts on Leeds, Tranmere and other topics.
Interview by Mark Ridgway
Mark: What is your name and how long have you supported Leeds ?
Richard: Richard Baggott - Support Leeds since I was knee high to a grasshoper - which mathematically is about 2 months after my conception!
Mark: Best moment supporting Leeds ?
Richard: Winning promotion to the Old first Division when we beat Bournemouth away and the other results for Sheffield United and Newcastle were going our way.
Mark: Worst Moment Supporting Leeds?
Richard: I guess relegation from the EPL but Woodgate getting sold was a pivotal moment in our recent downfall
Mark: Who is Your All-Time Favourite Leeds Player?
Richard: Gordon Strachan - I am just too young to remember the great team of the 70's - only just sadly! Strachan had the passion in the white shirt the fans demand!
Mark: Who would you say is Leeds's "One to Watch"?
Richard: Got to be Beckford - He can conjure a goal from nothing.
Mark: Do you have any Youngsters to look out for?
Richard: Howson has come through this year but is out injured. Our centre back, Huntington is proving useful although only played a handful of gmaes - he's got a good pass on him and scored on Saturday
Mark: What Do You Fear Could Go Wrong This Season?
Richard: i don't know - maybe getting deducted 15 points before kicking a ball, maybe our manager ups and leaves at the wrong time!
Mark: Which Player would you personally Pay to Leave the Club?
Richard: Tresor Kandol has been dire of late - although his form earlier on the season was good.
Mark: Is Dennis Wise the Right Man for the Job?
Richard: No comment on our manager situation. [this was before McAllister was appointed]
Mark: Which Team did you most want to beat this season and when you have played them did you manage to beat them?
Richard: Swansea and it's honours even - we beat them at ours and they beat us at theirs!
Mark: Most Admired Opposition Player?
Richard: it's a kop out but I don't admire other teams players!
Mark: Most Detested Opposition Player?
Richard: Anyone that fouls or cheats - It's funny at Elland Road, we never forget!!
Mark: Where Do You See Leeds Finishing This Season?
Richard: I would have said 1st or second if we hadn't had the managerial upset - now - who knows? Still hopefull of a play-off place!
Mark: Do you think either of Tranmere or Leeds will get relegated/promoted this season from their respective Divisions?
Richard: Tranmere seem to pull some results out, then drop off again. Could maybe creep into the play-off's but i think there will be some strong sides in there. I don't fancy Leeds getting through the play-off's so only if we finish 2nd do I see us going up.
Mark: Finally, your prediction for the game?
Richard: I'm going 2-1 Leeds but I'm eternally an Optimist
